My hubby and I spent 6 wonderful nights at the Maui Ocean Breezes in the Hibiscus Hideaway. It was our 20 year, 2nd honeymoon celebration. A little bit of paradise. The property is beautiful, well kept clean and very pleasant. Anjuli was an amazing hostess, very gracious and polite. The location is nice, it was easy to get up and get going to explore and get back to the room to relax in the evenings, without all the busyness of the beach condos. If your looking for a relaxed quite getaway, clean and pleasant and afordable....this is the place for you! Thank You Anjuli! :)

Our family of four recently stayed at the Bamboo Cottage on this property, and it was wonderful! Anjali was a gracious hostess and helpful pointing us in the right direction for Upcountry excursions and dining. In the evenings, the stand of bamboo next to the cottage rattles in the trade winds, making for cool relaxation on the patio with a tropical beverage of your choice. Bananas and papayas were in season when we arrived in late March, and they were a nice supplement to our meals. The apple bananas are GREAT in smoothies! The kitchen was well-equipped with a rice cooker, blender, and all of the pans and utensils you need to stay in and save. It was tight with two small children, but doable, and we would love to visit again sometime. Thank you so much, Anjali! James and Julie M.

My family of three recently stayed in the Bamboo Cottage at Maui Ocean Breezes for twelve nights. The cottage was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and a pleasure to explore given all the beautiful flowers, fruit trees and amazing views. Anjali (the owner) was very welcoming and shared fruit from her garden with us. If you're looking to have an experience away from the crowd of condos, then I would highly recommend this vacation rental.

I have been a frequent guest at Maui Ocean Breezes. It is an easy trip from the airport, and offers a quiet and serene atmosphere. The room is well equipped so eating at home is very feasible. There are nearby small towns with a wonderful grocery store, take out deli and restaurants. The room is always immaculately clean on arrival with welcoming flowers and fresh fruit. Anjali Desure is a gracious hostess and provides immediate help for any problem and is respectful of your privacy. The decor is whimsical and perfect for vacationing guests. The grounds are always well cared for, and i prefer the down to earth up-country area to the hotels of the south of Maui. I hope to return yearly for many years to come.

Martha - Jackson Hole, Wyoming

My husband and I come to Hawaii annually. We have stayed in Haiku before, but wanted to find a place with character away from the crowds. We found it here at Maui Ocean Breezes - for 12 days in the Swaying Palms Studio. The owner, Anjali, has a special unique gift for decoration. This is also true of the entire outside property - delightful surprises everywhere. We throughly enjoyed the serenity of the place on our covered lanai overlooking the gardens to the ocean. There were others guests while we were there, but we seldom saw them and never were disturbed by them. The town of Haiku is a quick drive away and has a very good gym, post office, an interesting gift shop and several good restaurants (Colleen's was our favorite.) One can easily get around the island, but we enjoyed always returning to our private "home" or just hanging out there. We plan to be back. A great value.

We stayed in the cottage and it is beautiful, with plenty of space and nicely furnished with everything you could possibly need. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and energy, and beautiful sea views. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed breakfast out on the lanai overlooking the lush garden and wonderful view. The house was immaculately clean and it was great to be able to use the laundry, as well as borrow the boards and mats when we went to the beach. The owner and her family were very friendly without being intrusive. We loved being on the north shore in Haiku and near to Paia. We're vegan and it was great to have so many eating options and places to food shop. We definitely plan to go back.

Maui Ocean Breezes is the perfect place to stay if you don't like crowded, noisy hotels and resorts. We stayed in the Swaying Palms Studio for 9 nights, and it was so wonderful to come back to absolute peace and quiet after a long day of site seeing and tourist activities. No hotel lobby to walk through; no kids running up and down the halls. Just beautiful, spacious grounds and a studio all to ourselves. Or at least it felt like that. We could see the ocean from our door, feel the breeze through the window as we went to sleep each night, and woke up each morning to the soft rain. (Don't worry... even though it rained almost every morning, it didn't take long to clear up and/or drive a few miles to another part of the island where it wasn't raining.) Anjali was the most appreciative hostess and checked in on us briefly every other day or so to make sure we had enough fresh fruit (which was plentiful all week) and anything else we needed. We had a fully stocked kitchen where we could have eaten every meal if we wanted to, and we thoroughly appreciated the guest laundry facilites throughout the week. The studio itself was clean, beautifully decorated and had many conveniences like plenty of towels and a rack to dry your swimsuits or whatever on. Maui Ocean Breezes is centrally located so it's easy to get anywhere you want to go, and for such a reasonable price! I couldn't believe our luck! We hope to return to Maui again someday, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: The studio faces the north and the beautifully landscaped lawn, with the ocean in the distance.
