We stayed at Haleakala Cottage for a week on our honeymoon this past November. Sharyn and Jeff, the owners, were very sweet and easy to deal with. We never had a problem contacting them. The cottage was very clean and had everything we wanted, and more that we hadn't even thought about (a deck of cards, books, movies, fruit in the fridge, fresh herbs, bananas, a bottle of wine in the fridge and chocolate covered mac nuts)
The hot tub was perfect for two, and was well maintained and always worked. We had lovely nights due to bright light from the nearly full moon.
The cottage was fairly well secluded. We could not see any of the other cottages on the property, and nights were always very quiet. Later in the mornings we could hear people walking around and doing work on the farm, which is of course essential to maintain a beautiful farm like this one. Though we never saw them, it did remind us that we were not in the middle of nowhere. This was the only small draw back for us.
We were lucky enough to run into Sharyn on the beach later in the week and get to talk to her and know her a little bit. She's a very warm person, and was a perfect host!
