We found out about this sanctuary from TripAdvisor. We don't play golf and love animals, so this was a great Lanai excursion! The hotel arranged a very inexpensive shuttle for us to go and visit the rescue center.

We spent a lot of time with Cathy and the cats. So many cats and they are so great to be around and socialize with! Some cats are so social and some are just learning to be social--I think it helps to just spend time with them. The cats will really appreciate your visit!

My wife & I spent about an hour with Cathy and 380 loveable cats. Next time we will save all day for that adventure. We had the most wonderful time with Cathy and all the lovable cats. She has done a remarkable job of providing a loving environment for them. Everywhere you look there is another feature the cats are enjoying. They really have it made! You would not believe there are that many cats living there , and Cathy knows them all on a first name basis.

You can just feel the love for the cats as you spend time with Cathy and the cats want so much to be loved and petted by every visitor. I wound up with a whole lap full of cats and not enough hands to pet them all. We have one cat at home and I have always been allergic to them, but one pill a day keeps me in good standing.

If you are ever on Lana'i, you have to visit Cathy and her wonderful team of girls that make a dream come true for so many loveable abandon cats.

What a wonderful mission of love! If you love animals...you will LOVE seeing what Kathy Carroll, minimal staff and all of the wonderful volunteers are doing for these sweet cats on the island of Lanai. It is amazing!! It is absolutely incredible to see what loving people can do for cats who were once feral, hungry and often unloved and transform them into healthy, precious pets. You would never know there are in excess of 350 cats... The grounds are so clean and so conducive to comfort and the protocols are so excellent that there is no odor and no mess! And they are all spayed/neutered and microchipped! Great job, everyone! It is truly amazing what can be done on a shoestring budget. Put on your tennis shoes, wear comfortable clothing and Go visit! Donate if you can! It will change your heart!

If you love animals, like I do, it's a place to visit on Lanai. This cat sanctuary is wonderful! I got a tour of the sanctuary and they have dispensaries for doing surgery, cats with colds, recovering from surgery. It's clean and they are in great hands (the volunteers who help out).
It might be alittle overwhelming at first to see all those cats greet you at the gate, but once you're in . . . just wonderful. A must place to visit when on Lanai!
