We read the reviews and have no problem with fried foods - actually peanut oil usually makes fried items more flavourful. And with my sisters high praise recommendation of this place we decided to try it - the shrimp tacos and the coconut shrimp. The service was brutal but the food was fast. The shrimp was obviously fresh but the way they cook it did not taste good. I love seafood and I'd eat a fish taco if it were stuffed with dirt but this was not good. I did not see what all the fuss was about. I see they have multiple locations so I don't know if that one was having an off day but we did not like the food here.

Had the Coconut & Garlic shrimp- both good however they didn't peel the shrimp for the garlic shrimp so my husband found it messy and awkward to eat. The garlic sauce was really good on the potatoes he had as a side tho. It's outdoor roadside seating so don't expect any ambiance!!!

Just had lunch at the Shrimp station in Waimea, We had the coconut shrimp and the shrimp taco. both were excellent. Dishes are a bit pricey at $12 for each but the portions are large and the food great. Seating is outdoors and they can get crowded but we had no trouble finding a seat as most people leave soon after eating. Highly recommend .

Had to stop here because it seemed so popular every time we passed. The coconut shrimp was delicious and for $12 you got a lot plus fries. We will probably go back again for another type of shrimp. The sauce was good but we prefer a mango salsa or some other sauce for coconut shrimp. The restaurant did not disappoint.

Shrimp station has two locations and we ate in both of them and enjoyed it both times.
For $12 you get 10 nice sized coconut shrimp, fries and some special ginger/mango dip sauce.
You can order deep fried or garlic saute, etc.. they have more than coconut shrimp here.
Seating is casual and was outdoors only at this location and indoors at the Kapaa location.
Service was pretty fast even though there were plenty of people there. Very tasty.
