Now this place is for people who love poke! My husband has gone nuts when he first laid eyes on the choices! There must be more than 20 to choose from. Ahi, squid, salmon, etc. The lady on the counter was very helpful and patient to explain the poke that they have, she even gave us a taste of them. They also have salads to go with it. We stopped by here to get our lunch on the way to Waimea Canyon.

Stopped here to get bentos for our hike. They had a big selection and lots of them. They were very very tasty, from the chicken to the barbeque meat to the fishcake and with lots of rice.

I read many reviews. We stopped for lunch. The woman behind the counter was very helpful. After tasting the beef, we decided to order it. She said the portions are large so two of us shared it and had plenty to eat. We ate at their picnic tables. I was impressed by the kindness of the employees and the friendliness of the local customers. When our granddaughter spilled chocolate milk all over herself they provided a utility sink for a quick clean up!!

OK so this place is a small independent market that has hot asian style (chinese) lunch plates for $8.5 and several varieties of Poke, with tuna, calamari and mussels. The chili tuna Poke was very good and fresh, but not the best on the island, but much better than Food Land.
The Asian sauced pork plate was nasty. The chicken salad was ordinary with iceberg lettuce and cucumbers. The edamame and ocean salad were both good
If I had to eat in Waimea again, the market would be OK, but I'd get the chili Poke and some plain rice to go with it, and a side salad.

We were able to buy locally caught Ahi and Mahi-Mahi that was delicious barbequed ... at about half the price we pay in Portland, Oregon.
