It was very comfortable and in a great location. If you aren't picky and are in Hawaii to enjoy Hawaii and not the hotel room, this is your place. It isn't very updated and the shower was a little finicky, but again, it was a great price compared to many other places we checked out and it is so close to food, shops, great beaches and the canyon. In room Kauai Coffee was my favorite. Just get bottled water to make it. :) It was great to have a fridge....we went to Costco to get water, souvenirs, and snacks and lunch essentials. It worked for us. We would stay there again. Say hello to Dennis at the Obsessions breakfast/lunch place a block away. Tell him the "Jayhawks" say hello....
