Lovely resort. Beautiful plants. Pool areas are gorgeous and enjoyed the hot tub nightly. Took a botanical nature walk on site which was quite interesting. Unit was roomy and decorated nicely. Only thing that would make it better would be if it was on the beach !

The check in was extremely slow and also trying to get your tickets are very slow too. The room is very outdated and urgently needs renovated. Our fake wood floors were all warped up and hurt to walk on. Very noisy as you have to leave your windows open all night and you can hear every one around talking at night. The only good thing here was the pools. Plus don’t go to the timeshare presentation it’s not worth the free stuff all they did was pressure and pressure you worse every time you said no they got worse. Over two hours to just get little off tickets.

Do not go here if you are looking for a quiet vacation. I had a ground floor unit. The family above stomped around the whole time. The 3 year old kid running sounded just as loud as the father’s footsteps. There is no air conditioning so you must leave the screened windows open to let the trade winds cool off the unit. Problem is you can hear all your nearby neighbors conversations. One guy was vomiting all night. Also cigar smoke wafted in from a neighbor out in the parking lot. Won’t be coming back here.

We were four people sharing a two bedroom unit. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a bag of popcorn! Reception was friendly and efficient. The pool area was gorgeous with a great hot tub. Wi-Fi was free as were local calls anywhere on the island. They loan you two free DVDs every night. Hot coffee is available in the reception lounge daily. You get one free bag to make a pot of coffee in the morning. After that you can buy more. They have a breakfast (just sweets and juice) to tell you all about the tours in the area- which was good. It was not a timeshare pitch. There is no cleaning during the week unless you pay extra. Also, you have to take your own trash out to dump bins.
Make sure you use GPS to find the place. The turn off into Princeville has no road sign and it is very dark at night. Take the Kapaa bypass if you are travelling at rush-hour. Cheapest groceries and gas are at Costco in Lihue. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Definitely ground floor for easy access to the pool.

My family stayed four nights in a ground floor apartment (916) and the noise from the family walking and running around upstairs was horrendous. The apartments have been poorly constructed and there is no soundproofing between the first floor and ground floor apartments. This means when your neighbours are awake, you are awake - like a family of elephants is upstairs. In our case this occurred at 4am - not an enjoyable holiday experience. By the third day I was finally fed up with the noise and complained, management acknowledged to me they know of the acoustic issues (obviously others have complained as well). We were offered another apartment but given it was our last night decided to suck it up and leave early. The apartments are very dated and in urgent need of renovation. The resort was clearly not at full occupancy so I question why management placed us in an apartment they knew had issues in the first place.

Room Tip: Ensure you get a first floor room or don’t bother booking
