“Challenging Course--Beautiful views”

A Top 100 course near the St. Regis and great for good golfers. Nice pro-shop with selection of personal items. One for the belt notch.

“Worth the Price -- A Must Play”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

Played the course on June 19th 2013 and it was in great shape. The greens are slow, but that is the result of the new salt tolerant greens they put in a few years back. I have played great courses from Pebble Beach to Doonbeg and the Prince course is a must play. The scenic beauty is just amazing. It is a difficult course so be sure and play the correct tees. I am a 15 handicap and played the white tees @ 6200 yards and shot a 91. There is little room for error off the tee so consider keeping the driver in the bag. Also,be sure and watch the weather forecast and try to play on a day when rain chances are low. The course is right at the base of a rain forest so pop up showers are always likely. I payed $185 to play which is below rack rate. Be sure and ask if there is a discount for the hotel you are staying at. Hands down, this is the best course in Kauai. I also played Kauai Lagoons and it is a realy nice course as well, but does not rank up with Prince course.

“Great course. Great views. Awesome.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013 via mobile

One of the best things we did on the island. Awesome ocean views on the front 9 and some fun holes on the back 9. Very challenging course so if you are a bogey golfer take lots of extra balls. Great service and staff. Dont worry about taking your sky caddie or range finder, the carts have GPS. The starter was very informative and the cart guys were very friendly. Well worth the money. Excellent experience.

“A beautiful but cruel mistress”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

The Prince Course may be the most beautiful you'll ever play, but seriously - this is a very challenging course. Bring golf balls. Leave your ego at the door.

The staff was amazing. "Don't worry about tee times - just let us know when you want to start." It was as if we owned the place. And if you're going to own a place, this is a nice one to own. The ocean views, the mountain views, the little waterfall on #13....everything.

Also note: if you have the time and money - play it twice. You'll need the experience to play it well.

Course was not in good shape and looks like it needs major work. Staff was nice but enjoyed the Makai course much better
