Good beach, a lot of tree debris but the trees are good umbrellas. Snorkle iing would be far from shore.

Wonderful, wonderful beach. Went "down" twice. The first time there while snorkeling we encountered MANY fish and one school of about 50 angel fish. The best snorkeling of all the places we tried on the north shore.. However, second time around the snorkeling was not too good. Guess it depends on the ocean currents. Don't let the hike down scare you. It's short and there are ropes to hold onto all the way. No lifeguard or bathrooms. Great views. I titled this review "worth the search" because it was so hard to find. The directions in our Lonely Planet book were not helpful. Here is how you get there: As you approach Princeville, you will see a sign that says "St. Regis", a guard house & fountains. Turn right there and take that road all the way to the end. Just before you come to the St. Regis hotel there is a 10 car public parking lot on your right. Better to go early to get a spot.....or just get lucky. Once you get out of your car, walk in the direction away from the St. Regis and go "thru the fence". I'd suggest wearing hiking shoes.

Name says it all. It is very nice, like a private beach. Worth effort to go there. Good beach for snorkeling, too.

This beach is wonderful if you're trying to escape the crowds during prime summer season. It's not very crowded at all. We went mid day in July and only saw a few other people here. The snorkeling is pretty decent here as well. The only downside is that there are lots of flat smooth rocks in the sand, so there isn't a ton of place for laying towels down in the sand. I guess that's why it isn't as popular. It's a great beach overall and def worth your time.

Watch out for the corner of the beach were you can walk around during low tide. We caught a couple - coupling. Lol.

If you work out regularly or hike regularly, this shouldn't be that much of a hike. The trail is clearly defined and there are ropes.

This is NOT for families. The hike will be dangerous for kids and you'll ruin it for couples. Unfortunately we weren't able to try the snorkeling.

Parking is pretty much impossible because the hotels and vacation rentals nearby. We parked at the Westin Princeville and took the hourly shuttle.
