Don't read any further, just email Eric and book your hike...seriously, don't wait. We sent Eric our date preference and what we were trying to accomplish (hike to get a workout, and see a part of the island we can't see on our own)...both were accomplished. This hike was one of the highlights of our trip. Great trail, perfect weather and amazing scenery. It was the perfect way to start the morning. Eric shares his love and passion for the island, while navigating through some of the most majestic scenery on the island. After a Na Pali coast sail, a Kayaking excursion and this hike, we are pretty sure we hit the trifecta.

Some suggestions:
-Take Eric up on the walking stick!
- Dress in Layers: we wore shorts, t-shirt and long sleeve sweatshirt/running pullover. This was plenty, b/c we started at 6a, and didn't finish until 10:30a. The trail got narrow, and branches brushed against our arms/legs...it this bothers you, wear pants and long sleeves.
- Wear sneakers / hiking boots w/ good tread: the trails get slick, so good footwear is key. My shoes were clean and dry by 4p the same day
- Bring water: one bottle per person was plenty for us...we didn't need to bring food, but we did have breakfast before we met Eric.
- Bring a camera: we decided to use our iPhones, which was ok...but the scenery warranted a better camera.
- Bring a towel: leave it in the car, but good to towel off at the end
- Book Now

Both Eric and the trail were wonderful. Eric was very knowledgeable about the island and characteristics of the hike. The hike was even tailored to our group ability. Even the warm rainfall made for great weather and scenery. The view was also amazing, as we overlooked Hanalei Bay and the Nepali Coast jungle.

I would highly recommend Eric as your tour guide for any hike or tour you wish to do on Kaua'i. We will certainly be doing another one!!

Hiking with Eric was our absolute favorite thing we did during our week in Kauai. We're not usually the hiking types but Eric took us on the perfect trail - beautiful scenery, great company and challenging without being overly exerting.

We got to see the sunrise over Waimea Canyon, saw wild horses, wild goats and to walk next to a lovely stream. Eric is lots of fun, loves talking about anything and everything and really knows how to make your hike fun.

We were a little unsure about the early start (meeting at 6.30am with an hours drive to get there) but it was totally worth it and meant we got to see the sunrise. We were also unsure about the price but again, this was the most fun part of our week and it was great value for money.

Sorry the review took so long to get up Eric

Aloha, Eric

A really big thanks from the both of us for being part of our marriage engagement! It was a very romantic and exciting way (and place) to become engaged. You chose the perfect waterfall for the BIG question to be asked. The pictures you took were timed perfectly as they captured the precious moments. We are grateful that we have such wonderful keepsakes. Our friends and family all comment how beautiful the pictures are. We appreciate your professionalism and your willingness to help plan this very special day. With your help, this day was truly memorable.
We highly recommend your hike tours. We enjoyed ourselves so much, that we hope to arrange a hike with you on our honeymoon next year in Kauai.

Mahalo,
J and B

My husband and I had a great time with Eric doing an unique hike which would have never found and followed up with a SUP lesson. Last year, my son and husband did alittle paddling in Kauai, I had not. Eric with his great instructions had us both paddling upstream in no time. As Montanan's we love to hike and found Eric to be the perfect Hawaiian host and guide. He is very friendly and provided us with vauable information on Hawaiian history, culture and botany which we enjoyed. We highly recommend Eric for anyone who enjoys hiking and would like to try paddle board. Thanks Eric for the great day!
