convenient, located in the hotel. It is now open for breakfast and lunch too. Location overlooks pools and ocean. Manager Ryan is efficient and helpful.

My husband and I decided to try it on our last night here in Kauai. It was fabulous. The food was amazing (try the short ribs!) and while the prices were high, they weren't any different from what you'd find at any other North Shore restaurant. I would recommend sitting outside to enjoy the setting and the lovely pool area. The service was top notch and overall we enjoyed the evening as the Westin is so beautiful. We'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate on Monday during their special "Hawaiian dinner menu". Excellent food and live table service music and Hawaiian dancer.

The food was good not great, we had Ono and beef tenderloin. The tropical cocktails were very good! There was no wait to sit inside which was ok with us as it was raining. Service was very good, but the singing and hula at individual tables was a little strange and you could only hear them if they were next to your table so difficult to enjoy. Decor felt very much like a hotel restaurant, not tropical or special at all.

My husband and I ate there three times within our week at the Westin. Our first two meals were very nice and portions were the normal, expected sizes. Our third meal was a completely different story!

Their menu promotes a "Hawaiian 3-Course Meal" with a tropical cocktail. The price was $40 per person. Calling what was served "a three-course meal" was very deceptive. The first-course was about 2-4 ounces of "Pulehu steak" with a tablespoon-sized amount of fern salad, garnished with thin straws of potato. It was a normal sized appetizer.

The real disappointment was the entree--a two-inch square of Ahi (tuna), a small scoop of mashed potatoes, and a few green beans. It was about one third the size of a normal entree portion! I asked our server if this was a child's portion, and she said it was intended to be more of a tasting meal. That was not what the menu said. Dessert was average-sized although the pineapple upside down cake was very dry.

I spoke with the restaurant manager on duty as we left the restaurant. She apologized for the portion size and said she would share the information with the chef. That was it.

In conclusion, the entree size was drastically reduced to compensate for the appetizer, dessert, and cocktail that were served. A case of giving with one hand and taking away with the other. We left still hungry and feeling like we had been been duped.

Nanea has a nice atmosphere and, for the most part, serves food of a good quality. Just don't expect much food with a threee-course meal!
