This year we "traded" our Westin Kaanapali vacation ownership for Westin Princeville. At check-in, the valet Bobby was excellent - he was polite, professional, and courteous! Meeting our concierge Wendy was a treat -- she was very sweet and kind to us, being first-time visitors to Kauai. We were provided with, as expected, a 2-bedroom lock-off. Minor things were wrong, which were immediately corrected by Housekeeping: missing plates, a non-working rice cooker, and so forth. Someone always followed up to ensure our needs were met.
The grounds are beautifully manicured and the pools make you believe you are in paradise! Maintenance people are friendly and polite. Chickens and other birds wander around freely.
Unfortunately, our neighbors below us were into loud, obnoxious partying. Granted they may have been celebrating, but throwing glass beer bottles onto the premises (over their balcony) in the middle of the night is not classy behavior or what I would expect of Westin guests.
The manager on duty, Leho, was very accommodating. He offered us a move to a quieter location, which we really appreciated. The female assistant (Annie?) who showed us the "new" room was really nice! You can't pick your neighbors, and Leho ensured we enjoyed our stay rather than have to deal with loud and raucous behavior. Bobby the valet moved our suitcases while we were out and about. There was really no inconvenience to us! Thank you, Leho!

Sunday Brunch buffet at the Nanea Restaurant was spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed that buffet! Our server (I'm sorry that we didn't get her name) was excellent! The waffles with whipped butter, steamed fish, Portuguese sausage, perfectly crisp bacon, crab legs, sushi, eggs your way, prime rib, fresh fruit, and much more, were all delicious! Love that shoyu is available on the table or upon request!
Dinner on Sunday's Prime Rib night was really good, too! We really enjoyed the Monchong fish! It was one of our favorite meals of the week! All the servers who helped us during the week at Nanea were on-point!
Another time, we bought ingredients from Foodland (nearby at the Princeville Shopping Center), and used the BBQs outside our room. Clean BBQs and beautiful sights like the infinity pool overlooking the ocean! What a way to cook! Being able to use the kitchen appliances when we wanted was a plus! The Princeville Marketplace is a nice convenience store, supplying everything you would need if you don't go to...More
