Just another Westin. This is not a bad thing. I like the Westin brand. They are consistent with their product. You know what you are going to get before you even arrive at the hotel. In fact, I would say they are the most consistent hotel product around. It is a good product. It is not over the top great, but it rarely disappoints.

The arrival was easy. The check in was fast and informative. Bellman were quick to offer help and quick to deliver luggage.

Pool service was good. Prices were quite reasonable for a resort in Hawaii.

Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. The restaurant did not open until 7:00 except Sunday, when it opened at 8:30 for brunch. This is way too late for a place where people wake up really early because of the time difference. The full buffet was only $20.00, which is a great price in Hawaii, but the food was not very good. We ended up enjoying the grab and go coffee shop instead, which was pretty good. We did not at diner at the hotel.

The resort offers barbeque grills in several locations. We had one just outside put room which was on the first floor. The grills are cleaned daily which is very nice. We ended up using them one night and had one of the cheapest and most fun meals of the trip!!!

Aloha The808Traveller,

It is always a pleasure hearing from our kama'aina guests, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at The Westin Princeville. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the consistency of the resort with the Westin brand, the convenience of our barbecue grills and the friendliness of our attentive staff. However, we are sorry that you were disappointed with the timing of our full-service breakfast. For those on the go, our Princeville Market is available from 6 a.m. daily and has some great hot and cold breakfast items, which can be enjoyed in the outdoor market seating area. We thank you for your feedback, which helps us to continually improve the guest experience at The Westin Princeville. We look forward to your return in the near future.

We stayed here over a long weekend in August 2013 and found the property to be very nice. Our room was spacious, and we appreciated having the mini-kitchen to save some money on dining. The queen bed was comfortable, we had double sinks in the bathroom, and the wireless internet service was solid throughout our stay. We dined twice at the resort restaurant, Nanea, and enjoyed the experience both times. Their Princeville Market served up some great Starbucks coffee along with other grocery and household items. We also took advantage of the many pools and hot tubs on the property and found their poolside service to be more than adequate for drinks and light eating fare. The views around the property are quite nice, and the location is close to several beaches, a world-class golf course and additional shopping and dining options in nearby Hanalei. There are seven separate villa buildings with great landscaping throughout the property. I would definitely stay there again.

We had three adults and two kids in a two bedroom/two bath suite in July 2013. It was a perfect size for us. Having a large kitchen/dining area plus a mini kitchen made it very easy on everyone. There are several pools at this resort and several BBQ area. We never felt like we were competing for outdoor facilities with other guests. Of course Kauai is a beautiful island with pleanty to do.
Having visitor privilages at the St. Regis hotel was also a very nice plus.

Room Tip: The smaller two bedroom is fine for two adults but if you have kids get the two bedroom or the large...

Dear Bob P: We are delighted to hear that you had a nice family vacation with us at The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas. It is nice to see that you enjoyed the spacious 2 bedroom/2 bath villa with over 1,300 square feet of living space. The villa amenities provided include the fully equipped kitchens, washer/dryers, Westin Heavenly Beds, sofabeds, large bathrooms with whirlpool tubs and separate showers, high speed internet access and more. The 20 BBQ grills located around the resort makes it convenient to have a nice casual meal and re-connect with family and/or friends. We are very fortunate to have our sister resort, the St Regis Princeville located 2 miles away and have some access to use their beach, restaurants and the Halele'a Spa. Unfortunately Westin guests are not allowed to use the St Regis pool/pool chairs. We hope to welcome you back soon. Mahalo and Stay Well!

Housekeeping was rude and unhelpful but security was just the opposite..we locked ourselves out from one side of our unit and they did not seem put-out at all

We had a lovely stay. The staff were nice and very helpful. The property was beautiful. The condos were well equipped for cooking in when we desired, with nice grills right outside. The restaurant was among the best in the area. Would definitely stay again.

We are Starwoods Owners and have visited several Starwoods resorts and properties. By far, the Westin Princeville is The Best Starwoods property. The facility, the staff and the location on the North Shore of Kauai are awesome! I highly encourage anyone considering a trip to Hawaii to consider Kauai and speicificallly the Westin Princeville on the North Shore. You won't be disapointed.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for an "ocean view" on an upper floor. The sunrise is amazing. And you get...
