We stayed in 102 April 3 to April 11, 2008. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have done. The condo is perfectly located to walk to the beach for snorkeling or swimming. It was just right for us. The condo is very clean and provides everything you need. We also enjoyed being able to BBQ some fresh fish and have fresh pineapple and mango available in the room. It is not the fanciest place we have stayed in but it's perfect for folks that want cleanliness and like to do a little (or a lot) of their own cooking.

The Beach House restaurant was great. Try the Kauai Duet for dinner and the seafood corn chowder was so rich one bowl can be shared with another person. We will stay there again and we will rent another condo for our kids and grandkids. I can only describe Kaui as friendly, beautiful, and relaxing. Dennis Mozeleski Santa Cruz, CA

My husband and I stayed at the Prince Kuhio in January 2008. We were in Unit #337, which was recently remodeled. It was a studio unit with a full kitchen. All accommodations were excellent and the location couldn't be beat. It was directly across the street from the Beach House Restaurant and Kuhio Shores. A small beach was within walking distance - perfect for sunset watching.

The Prince Kuhio has a parking lot for guests in addition to an adjacent parking garage. The entire building was very quiet and noise between units was never an issue. Even though we visited in the high season, we were able to get a rate of $125/night, which we were very happy with. It sure beats paying $250+/night at the huge resorts around Poipu.

Photos of #337 can be seen here: http://www.prince-kuhio.com/site/337.html

...for a relaxing, casual get away. It was the end of July when we arrived. We were dismayed to find there was no AC but soon discovered a wonderful breeze blows nearly all the time and we had quite a nice time. We've stayed in the 5 star resorts but found the casual and cosmetic imperfections enabled us to relax more when we tracked in sand from the beaches or touched something after slathering on the sunscreen. It nearly felt like we were living there. We watched the sunrise and the ocean waves from our balconies. We watched the sunset each evening from the The Beach House ( a 5 star restaurant and gallery) which was just across the street. Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, charcoal - what a treat to find it was already there waiting for us. For the price and location it is a great place to stay. We are already talking about our return trip - to #307!

We also wanted to put in a good word for the maintenance and management of the property. We walked up and down the beaches from Shipreck to Spouting Horn, and by comparison - we thought the Prince Kuhio property was one of the nicest kept properties, including the larger resorts. Every morning the manager and maintenance person were out working around the property, picking up leaves, and making sure everthing looked nice. We especially enjoyed the Koi pond and how they flirted for food. A handful of popcorn, and we'd have friends for life.

Regards, The Roths

I really enjoyed the location and the quietude of this condo. They had everything in the condo you need including flotations for the beach and sugar for the coffee. I really enjoyed my stay there -- just walk across the street and snorkel at 2 different locations. The rooms was cozy and perfect for the 2 of us. I would recommend this location and plan to stay here again when we come back.

My husband and I liked the location and the size of our studio condo #307. Internet was fast. We did have an ocean view if you lined your chairs up right and peered over the railing. The park right in front of the condo is nice and the breezes were lovely, but it was very uncomfortable to sleep most nights. They need to install AC. Also the bed was not the best. All of the condo needs a redo, especially the bathroom. Example paint bubbling up on the ceiling and stained. The pool is quite small and in the shade mostly, but the beaches in Kauai are amazing and we went to them. We loved Kauai for a vacation spot and hope to come again, but we won't be staying at the Prince Kuhio.

Please see the other reviews of PK 307 before you let this one bias your decision to stay at Prince Kuhio or this condo. We think the condo is very nicely furnished and stocked. It is cozy and romantic and has great ocean views. You can hear the ocean from the condo. It is a great value since condos this close to the ocean cost 3 times more than at Prince Kuhio. Air conditioning on Kauai is rare except at the hotels which makes the trade winds going through this condo a welcome treat. - Jack & Dorinda, management representative.

Prince Kuhio Resorts is a great place to stay for a moderate cost on this otherwise expensive Island. Our unit had it's own washer/dryer and that was a huge plus!! We stayed for 2 weeks from 12/1-12/15. Rainy at times, but somehow we got to do everything we wanted to do. I recommend this place whole-heartedly.

We found the Prince Kuhio Resort when we were looking online for our place to stay in Kauai. This Condo was like a hidden treasure. It was so conveniently located and our room, #316 was sooo amazing! the mirrors and decorations were so adorable and the bed was super comfortable. The pictures shown on websites portray the room perfectly. We were on the ocean side, if you consider these condos definitely make sure you're on the ocean side! the breeze coming through the room was great and the sound of the waves was incredible! Snorkeling and an amazing restaurant right across the street.. endless things to do, this Island is amazing!
