“Old Hawaii”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

Fun to have a Longboard in the lounge while listening to live Hawaiian entertainers (ukulele, guitar, and vocalist), then on to dinner overlooking a pond with huge trees overhead and a view of the lounge. We had mahi, monchong, and opakapaka. It all felt very old Hawaiian to me, reminding me of places I remember from Oahu that have all gone away. Relaxing and romantic.

“Average food, good atmosphere”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

The food here is just average, and very expensive. Service is good, atmosphere is very good. If you don't have a reservation, expect a long wait. There are other options in the area that are very good and not as expensive.

“Always enjoy!!!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

We've been going to Keoki's for years. Always enjoy it. Some hints...there is an early offering for less $$$. One can get great food in the bar that is very fast & less costly. We went to celebrate a birthday. They have changed the menu somewhat & it will be interesting to see how it is received. The salad is no longer included with the entree which means adding about $8.00 for a salad. I ordered the "farmers market" salad which was all locally grown produce with a sweet dressing. It was not a hit...the manager did remove it from the bill which was wonderful. The herb-macademia nut encrusted fish was delightful & well prepared, as always The other members of our party choose Ahi & thought it was very good. Of course, the highlight is "hula pie.". A chocolate crumb crust piled high with macademia nut ice cream covered with hot fudge sauce & whipped cream. One serving is enough to share...Drinks are lovely...atmosphere can't be beat. Back to the hula pie...save your receipt & it will be FREE the next time. Also it is complimentary on almost any special occasion. A lovely gesture....We enjoyed it &, needless to say, will go back.

“Nice atmosphere, decent food, parking difficult”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Nice outdoor atmosphere but the food is average. My wife's fish was overcooked, and the salaads were small and average. This place was not high on my list and I will not likely return again when I revisit Kaua'i

During our recent visit to Lawai Beach, we went to dinner at Keoki's-- not the first time we had been there, but the first in quite a few years. We had a disabled friend along with us, so we went early and made reservations-- and we were glad that we did. By 5 pm, we were surprised how many people were standing around waiting to be seated, but we only waited a few minutes. The staff didn't bat an eye at our friend in the wheelchair, but rolled her up the ramps and put us at a table where she was comfortable and yet we were not crowded. The dining area is open air with pools and waterfalls, and you almost feel like you are dining in a tropical forest. We all ordered off the sunset special menu-- a great deal with 3 courses for $22. Not huge portions, as you would expect, but quite good. We both started with Caesar salads, then I had the broiled fresh fish (which was Mahi-Mahi-- a favorite of mine), while my wife had a petite steak. While dessert was included, we knew about an option that we picked instead: Since Keoki's is owned by the same chain that owns Duke's, they offer Hula Pie, so we opted to pool our two desserts and get a single slice of Hula Pie instead-- what a great choice. In fact, I almost wished we had started with that and then took the food home in a box!!

Go back again? You bet!
