We ate the night before at Roy's. The difference...we had good food and very good service for less than half the price here. It felt like a great deal in comparison with the bloated pricing and substandard service we had had at Roy's. We ate in the bar, which was casual, and a different menu. Blood enough that we will return for the full dinner menu happily...

Keoki's is our favorite place for fresh fish, pleasant and unique tropical ambiance, great and friendly service, and great prices.

We had a light dinner in the bar so we could be close to the music. Our waitress has lived on Kaui'i all her life and was as personable as she was pretty. The food was good and the music was very pleasant (Hawai'ian Reggae, we were told.) Nice evening in a very pleasant place with large families at many tables and it was still quiet enough to talk!

We have eaten and Keoki's several times over the years, but always in the restaurant. This time we opted for the less expensive Bamboo Bar. The food consists of sandwiches, appetizers, and less expensive entrees ($12 to $15 range) My wife ordered the fish plate special which was a spearfish with a beurre blanc sauce and it was excellent, especially for the price. The other 3 people in our party ordered the fish tacos with bear-battered mahimahi. They were wonderful!
We finished the meal with 2 pieces of hula pie to share as is our tradition. This was a very nice meal and very reasonable for Poipu. We did have to wait a while to get seated as the bar does nor accept reservations but the food was worth the wait.

When we first arrived they said their bathrooms were working. However 10 mins later when we asked where they were they said they were out of service and would have to walk across the shopping center to use the public ones. When we went to look for them we couldn't find any, and ended up walking all the way across the shopping center to use the public ones. When we came back they said oh they are just a short walk and we told them what happened to us. Turns out the restrooms they were telling us to go to we're completely unmarked and hidden so there's no way we would have seen them.... They were very apologetic and offered us free appetizers which was very nice. Our waiter was very attentive and nice as well. Our food was good however don't order a piña colada, not the best. The Mai Tais and frozen Mai Tais are really good. Opah, Mahi Mahi, and Ahi were good. Seafood Risotto had too much Asperagus. Would go back for lunch.
