Funny, but our best friends/traveling companions own several restaurants in Southern California, one a famous seafood restaurant, so it is tough to convince them that an improperly cooked shrimp is right. My wife's broiled shrimp were served in a translucent state, almost raw. We asked them to be re-done once. They came back the same way. We tried again, no luck this time either. The cook then sent a message via the server that this type of shrimp never turns pink when cooked, whatever that means. The server never offered a replacement dish nor a refund. She totally ignored the problem. Poor cook, poor server and a manager that didn't care enough to come over to the table to see if he/she could help. Funny, we have been going to that restaurant for 25 years, every time we visited Kauai. We probably will never go back.
