Owner description: Outfitters Kauai has been making vacations awesome since 1988! Offering you a wide range of activities, including HAWAII’S LONGEST ZIPLINE; Exciting Ocean and River Kayak Tours; Waimea Canyon Downhill Biking Tours; SUP Tours; along with hiking and swimming options for many of our guided adventures. Zipline Tours: On May 1, 2017, Outfitters Kauai launched their newest additions... the 3/4 mile long FlyLine Kauai Zipline, and the Kipu Ranch Visitor Welcome Center. The result is improved and reconfigured Zipline Tour packages, and a new, convenient check-in location. Each zipline tour is unique as our lines vary by size, skill-level, and terrain. Fly with us over lush valleys, tumbling waterfalls and forest canopies — landscapes made famous by movies like Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones. Kayak Tours: If you want to explore the secret beaches and hidden waterfalls of Kauai, Hawaii, look no further than our kayak tours. Outfitters Kauai offers both ocean and river kayaking. Each tour is unique and combines kayaking with additional activities like hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and wildlife viewing. See the famed Na Pali Cliffs, or take a Poipu Whale Watch tour (seasonal). Paddle-Boarding Tours: We invite you to take a standup paddle along a tranquil jungle stream, ringed by the majestic Hau’pu Mountains. The adventure starts with a quick SUP lesson, then you’ll be fitted with a paddle and board that is just the right fit. Outfitters Kauai provides paddlers with top-quality equipment, so you can paddle with ease and get the most out of your adventure. Downhill Bike Tours: Our bike tour takes you alongside what is called “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific” at 3,600 feet on the west side of Kauai. As you wind your way down this geological wonder, you will enjoy panoramic views of crested buttes, amazing waterfalls, rugged crags and deep valley gorges. From the main lookout point, there are dramatic views of Kauai’s lush interior and dazzling ocean coast. Think of this as a nature walk on two wheels, complete with refreshments and information about the culture, history and folklore of Kauai.

Aloha AngieA99,
Thank you for the excellent review. Mitch and Blake are "fabulous". Maybe next time your "smallest" Viking Fan will be ready for a tour :)

This was our family's second trip with Outfitter's Kauai and they provided the thrills once again. Last time was back in 2007 when we went on the Kipu falls/zipline/kayak safari with them. It was my kids' first ever zipline experience (my son was 4 years old!). Unfortunately Kipu Falls has since been closed to the public but I fondly remember it as one of the funniest days of my life. They deserved 5 stars back then as well. This time we chose the Nui Nui Loa Zipline tour because the kids were much bigger and ready to take on the big long zips. It was fun fun fun and the scenery in beautiful Kipu Ranch was spectacular as usual. Each zip gets bigger and longer and I honestly lost count of how many lines we ended up going on--6 or 7. There were a few where you could go tandem and that was fun as well. We had two guides who were awesome and made us feel relaxed and safe the whole time. This was one of the best zipline experiences we've ever had. Of note we were also able to bring along my 8 year old nephew who is small for his age. Their minimum age for this tour is 7 but they did not have any minimum weight requirements listed.

The last zipline is majestic and 1800 ft long. You fly for a long time--try it upside down! Then to finish off the day they take you to a swimming hole with a water zipline and a couple platform jumps--one is about 10 ft up and the other about 20 ft up. The water is a perfectly chill 74 degrees or so and really refreshing after a day zipping and hiking in the sun. We played at the swimming hole for about half an hour. Everyone LOVED it. We went on the water zip over and over. If you hit the stop block on the line you'll go flying and probably flail as you land on your backside in the water. Hit the block!

Aloha wskunfuclub,
Wow - Mahalo for the excellent review and great description. The Nui Nui Loa is the best zipline course. We remember your family, especially your 8 year old nephew. We appreciate you coming back to Outfitters and are happy we could step it up for you and the kids :) Hope to see you again soon for another "5 star" adventure with us.

Nice staff that will set you up with bike rentals and many other excursions. Bikes were a bit more expensive than other sites, but this may be due to location. Use extreme caution when riding on roads without shoulders and on narrow roads. Some of the recommended bike routes have dirt sections and potholes.

Like the title says, this tour guide, Adam, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and could tell us anything from the proper Hawaiian terms for places and things from plant life that was indigenous to the area (compared to the introduced and invasive species). He was funny and helped us get there and back with no problems. The tour itself was easy enough with the kayaking up the river being simple and the falls were beautiful. I would easily use him again, and he suggested a great eatery in Koloa which was delicious. He was an excellent tour guide and if he was any indication, the outfitters is one of the best tour agencies in Kauai!

Our family took the 4 hour zip-line tour. First time for all of us. We had a great experience and the guides kept the group moving and involved through the various lines. Over waterfalls, canyons and trees. The sites were awesome. Always felt safe and took plenty of pics and videos for the memories. Will use them for activites again when I return to Kauai.
