Owner description: Outfitters Kauai has been making vacations awesome since 1988! Offering you a wide range of activities, including HAWAII’S LONGEST ZIPLINE; Exciting Ocean and River Kayak Tours; Waimea Canyon Downhill Biking Tours; SUP Tours; along with hiking and swimming options for many of our guided adventures. Zipline Tours: On May 1, 2017, Outfitters Kauai launched their newest additions... the 3/4 mile long FlyLine Kauai Zipline, and the Kipu Ranch Visitor Welcome Center. The result is improved and reconfigured Zipline Tour packages, and a new, convenient check-in location. Each zipline tour is unique as our lines vary by size, skill-level, and terrain. Fly with us over lush valleys, tumbling waterfalls and forest canopies — landscapes made famous by movies like Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones. Kayak Tours: If you want to explore the secret beaches and hidden waterfalls of Kauai, Hawaii, look no further than our kayak tours. Outfitters Kauai offers both ocean and river kayaking. Each tour is unique and combines kayaking with additional activities like hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and wildlife viewing. See the famed Na Pali Cliffs, or take a Poipu Whale Watch tour (seasonal). Paddle-Boarding Tours: We invite you to take a standup paddle along a tranquil jungle stream, ringed by the majestic Hau’pu Mountains. The adventure starts with a quick SUP lesson, then you’ll be fitted with a paddle and board that is just the right fit. Outfitters Kauai provides paddlers with top-quality equipment, so you can paddle with ease and get the most out of your adventure. Downhill Bike Tours: Our bike tour takes you alongside what is called “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific” at 3,600 feet on the west side of Kauai. As you wind your way down this geological wonder, you will enjoy panoramic views of crested buttes, amazing waterfalls, rugged crags and deep valley gorges. From the main lookout point, there are dramatic views of Kauai’s lush interior and dazzling ocean coast. Think of this as a nature walk on two wheels, complete with refreshments and information about the culture, history and folklore of Kauai.

This was a wonderful day! The guides were awesome especially Nicole (Muppy) who stayed with us all day. The kayaking was a nice easy paddle with Tina and Muppy both of which answer any and all questions you may have for them as well as some great stories of the area. The hiking was very easy and not streneous at all a nice nature hike with a pit stop at a rope swing for a dip in a pond if you wanted. The lunch was great, make your own sandwiches and awesome brownies. Then it was time to zipline. The staff all made sure everyone understood the importance of safety and took very good care of us. If I had one dissapointment on this tour it was there was only 2 zip lines. I actually thought there would be more like 6-7 so that was disappointing for me or this would have gotten a 5 from me. The third and last small zip line into another waterfall pool was fun though. Just wish I had known ahead of time only two long zips. Probably my fault for not researching more ahead of time. But a great way to get a bit of everything in a day. Next time I think we will do a full day of Kayak and the full Zip coarse. Great staff!

We took part in a four hour kayak and hike trip on Tuesday, January 29 with Kauai Outfitters. We had a quick kayak lesson and headed out for about and hour and half down the Hule'la Stream. Our guides Alex and Andy were very helpful and knowledgeable giving us all kinds of information about the Menehune people and the area. After kayaking, we set foot for a an hour and half hike with another great guide (can't remember this name now). but he gave all kinds of information about the plants, trees and local area. We stopped and had a picnic lunch (included) and had the opportunity to walk and swim in the waterfall areas. We highly recommend this adventure! Melinda and Dan Hogan

We had a great day with two wonderful guides, Adam & Tina. We spent 6 hours on the water where we saw whales, dolphins, turtles, and seals. The guides were knowledgeable and fun. The lunch was great. I would do it again!

This was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip to Kauai. Our family ( myself 50, hubby 42, daughter 13 and son12) did the Nui nui loa zip line tour, which included 9 zips and a waterzip. We had a wonderful time and we just loved our guides, Matt and Elvis! None of us had zip lined before and we felt safe and secure the entire time. What a thrill! The scenery was great and we got a lot of local trivia as we were during to the zip lines. Word of warning... If Elvis is your guide you will get more than you bargained for with his cow jokes....they're corny but fun! I highly recommend this tour, it will leave you with memories of a lifetime. Definitely a must do and Outfitters Kauai was a joy to do business with!

While in Kauai for our daughter's wedding, we were invited to join her and her new husband on a kayaking adventure....the guide, Trevor, warned us at the beginning that this was a test of communication skills between couples. That it is!! Whoever sits in front, usually the woman, has to accept that she can't see what her partner is doing behind her and so,in my case, has to bite her tongue to not say "are you doing ANYTHING back there???" Our synchronization was off most of the time although we managed to get there and back without having to be towed in, albeit we were bringing up the rear. The hike to the waterfall was great, but we are better hikers than kayakers. Our guide, Trevor, made the whole adventure very enjoyable - he was knowlegdeable about the island and the area and was a fun person who seemed to enjoy what he was doing. The hike was through some muddy areas, lots of rocks and tree roots so those not so sure-footed would want to be extra careful. The waterfall was nice, the water cold. I would recommend this for people who are used to some activity although it is not extremely strenuous.
