Owner description: Outfitters Kauai has been making vacations awesome since 1988! Offering you a wide range of activities, including HAWAII’S LONGEST ZIPLINE; Exciting Ocean and River Kayak Tours; Waimea Canyon Downhill Biking Tours; SUP Tours; along with hiking and swimming options for many of our guided adventures. Zipline Tours: On May 1, 2017, Outfitters Kauai launched their newest additions... the 3/4 mile long FlyLine Kauai Zipline, and the Kipu Ranch Visitor Welcome Center. The result is improved and reconfigured Zipline Tour packages, and a new, convenient check-in location. Each zipline tour is unique as our lines vary by size, skill-level, and terrain. Fly with us over lush valleys, tumbling waterfalls and forest canopies — landscapes made famous by movies like Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones. Kayak Tours: If you want to explore the secret beaches and hidden waterfalls of Kauai, Hawaii, look no further than our kayak tours. Outfitters Kauai offers both ocean and river kayaking. Each tour is unique and combines kayaking with additional activities like hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and wildlife viewing. See the famed Na Pali Cliffs, or take a Poipu Whale Watch tour (seasonal). Paddle-Boarding Tours: We invite you to take a standup paddle along a tranquil jungle stream, ringed by the majestic Hau’pu Mountains. The adventure starts with a quick SUP lesson, then you’ll be fitted with a paddle and board that is just the right fit. Outfitters Kauai provides paddlers with top-quality equipment, so you can paddle with ease and get the most out of your adventure. Downhill Bike Tours: Our bike tour takes you alongside what is called “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific” at 3,600 feet on the west side of Kauai. As you wind your way down this geological wonder, you will enjoy panoramic views of crested buttes, amazing waterfalls, rugged crags and deep valley gorges. From the main lookout point, there are dramatic views of Kauai’s lush interior and dazzling ocean coast. Think of this as a nature walk on two wheels, complete with refreshments and information about the culture, history and folklore of Kauai.

“Downhill Bike and Zipline Safari. Must Try Both”
Reviewed November 28, 2012

We did 2 tours with this company. Both were amazing. The first one we did was the downhill bike ride. It was fun but I was a bit nervous going so fast. Fortunately everyone was patient and it's all very safe. There is a guide in the front of the pack then another in the van behind to block the traffic. It was very picturesque at the top of the canyon. Coming down the canyon was a bit harder to view the scenery because you don't really want to take your eyes off the road. But you do stop several times for pictures. We did the early morning tour which worked out perfect because we were done by 10:30 so we had the rest of the day to do other things. The next day we did the Zipline Safari. This is an all day adventure and so much fun. We started off kayaking up a river. It was so peaceful. Bring a water camera for that because you do get wet. You can bring a regular camera for the rest of the tour, they give you special bags to put your belongings in so they stay dry. Once we were done kayaking we took a small leisurely walk thru the forest/jungle. It was soo pretty. Then we made our way to a little lagoon where everyone swung from a rope into the water. You don't have to do it but it was definitely fun. Once we were done with the walk we started our zipline portion of the tour. What a thrill that was. There were some small kids on the tour and they had a blast. There was even a guy who was afraid of heights who did the zipline. After we went to another watering hole/lagoon. This tour I would totally do again. We had so much fun. I just wish there was more ziplines to do. Our guides for both tours were great and had a lot of personality so there was never a dull moment. The always had something to say and always had an answer for every question. A big thank you to Cory, Brian and Danny(I think that was his name).

“Great views”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

We did the sunrise downhill bike ride. It was a pretty good experience. Andy and Aaron are very knowledgeable about the island - its history, people, plants and animals. They were able to keep up a conversation for most of the long-ish drive out and back (without the help of many questions from our group). The ride itself was nice and they really made safety a priority. We stopped several times on the way down for a view or a snack.

If you're going to do a ride, I definitely recommend these guys. My only complaints are that it's pretty expensive - price-wise it's comparable to a flight or a boat tour - and it takes a lot of time - 5 hours total.

“Overall an excellent tour”
Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

My wife and I were very pleased with the tour. We wanted to do it early on in the vacation so we could decide what activities we enjoyed the most and then could focus on them for the rest of our time in Kauai.

The tour guides gave a really nice sampling of kayaking, hiking, zip-lining and swimming. Some of the tour guides were excellent and some were annoying. Ericka, our main guide was exceptionally great. She gave a nice touch of humor (not too excessive) while being very informative about all items. She also gave us a ton of information about other local events, food, etc in Kauai. There was one of our guides, can't remember his name but he was annoying. He was trying really hard to be funny and although it didn't bother me too much, he was somewhat offensive to some in the group. Humor is cool just in the right amounts. One of the other girl guides was cool too but wasn't waiting for the other kayaks to catch up before she would start talking about the history portions of the tour. And once we all caught up, she wasn't loud enough for everyone to hear.

The zip-line was absolutely amazing. One was 800' and the other was 1800'. The lunch they provided was also pretty decent in terms of bag lunches.

Overall this was an excellent tour. I reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a wide range of Kauai activities all bunched up in one great tour.

“Zipline Trek Nui Loa with Andy & Alex”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

Our 8yo chose ziplining as a family activity during our vacation on Kauai. Alex & Andy were fun, informative, and made sure everyone was safe. The location of the ziplines is a gorgeous ranch of some sort at the foot of the Ha'upu Ridge/Kipu area. This fun trip will definitely be a hit with your kids (7yr and older).

We had a great SUP excursion paddling the lawiliwili in Lihue, Kauai, and then hiking through the jungle. I even tried the zipline but only once. Our guide Harold was super informative and really a pleasure to tour with. He is so full of knowledge and hugley informative. If you do a tour and you are interested in Hawaii-fauna flora and history...ask for Harold as a guide. Mahalo Harold.
