“Exquisite Atmosphere and Service”

Somewhat limited menu but everything on it is AMAZING! The wait staff is exceptional (ask for Les) He exemplifies Island style and knows the menu. Try the Summer Rolls for a starter. Super laid back couples dining. You won't be disappointed.

“Very interesting dishes! Excellent!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Both the setting and the quality of the food and service is what sets Tidepools above the rest. The grounds and property are absolutely beautiful. It seems like you are on a floating hut with the koi ponds surrounding the restaurant. The fish dishes are wonderful and very interesting. The flavors that they pair together really work and enlighten your taste buds. The servers are also extremely friendly. We forgot our free dessert coupon we got for being honeymooners and the waitress said not to worry about it, she would take care of it, and that we could even just come back with it the next night and use it. If you are staying at the Hyatt, and even if you aren't staying at the Hyatt, I would be sure to eat here while on Kauai.

“best food on the island”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

this is a perfect place to have a romantic dinner. you don't have to be a hyatt guest to eat here. it was a scenic restaurant and it was so fun to sit next to the koi fish pond (even though some of our silverware fell into the water). if you choose the perfect time you can see the sunset from your seat

i had the best food in Kauai at this restaurant. our ahi poke appetizer was to die for, such a great combination of flavors. my seared ahi tuna entree was the best ahi tuna i've ever had in my life, plus the truffle oil rice with foie gras was a combination of my favorite things all into one. i'm still drooling thinking about how delicious the entree was.

“Beautiful setting, fantastic food”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We arrived at the Grand Hyatt and it is a beautiful hotel. We were told by a friend to have a drink at the "Library". It's a beautiful bar in the hotel and it was fabulous. Very upscale and the drinks were great. Then we went over to the Tidepools and had the best dinner. The service was great, the setting was beautiful and romantic. We had the Monchong and lobster, prawn combo and it was superb. Yes, it is very pricey but well worth it if you don't mind spending the money. After all it is Hawaii and is very expensive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The restaurant sits on a lake style pond with beautiful greenery and tropical flowers. The grounds of the whole property is very well cared for and clean. I would love to come back and stay at this hotel.

Great experience at the Tidepools at the Grand Hyatt. Set in the water gardens of the grounds with nice views and special ambiance. Celebrated our anniversary here. Food was creatively prepared and well executed on the plate. Great service and friendly staff. We would return in a heartbeat!
