It's strange how cooking a steak can be so difficult to get perfect. You just put it on the grill right?, but so many places get it wrong. But at Roy's I had perfectly cooked, 'black and blue' fillet mignon, excellent! fine dining indeed, but at fine dining prices ($42 ouch). I started with fish cakes which were very good. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food and wine so all well and good.
Now here's the rub, it's in a shopping center, spread over two sides of a walkway plus we were there when all the waiters were dressed for Halloween, so the atmosphere was like a Disney World restaurant. Kinda crazy.
So it's an excellent place to get great food with the kids, couldn't fault it. Would I go again? For the food without a doubt, but not for the ambiance, I'm trying somewhere different tonight
