We made a reservation for sunset dinner (only restaurant on the water in the area). Gorgeous sunset! The food was excellent from the spicy tuna roll, salad with warm goat cheese, mahimahi crusted with macadamia nuts. They did not rush us. Enjoy a special night.

This is one of Kauai's best restaurants, reservations are a must and you want to be seated by 6:15. The restaurant is an open air style restaurant, with almost all seats give you a view of the spectacular sunsets Kauai is famous for. The food is expertly prepared and delicious, although I feel the portions are a little to big, and their prices reflect this. A couple could easily share and appetizer and a salad, with individual main courses and have way more food than they would expect to see on a plate of a gourmet restaurant. It's well worth the money.

Yes! It is expensive! The amazing food, service and atmosphere aren't free people. This restaurant is quality all the way and it hit it each and every time I am here. Tonight Alex waited on us, she was a doll who not only knew her menu but was able to converse with us as well as tell me where I could purchase some Passion fruit flavored items to take home....ps don't miss the Passion fruit (Lilliloi) mojito....soooooo good! Love the beet salad, we also enjoyed the crab cakes, the filet, and the special which was a lobster tail with prawns. And yes, the view is to die for, even on this drizzly cloudy day a beautiful sunsets with an army of brave kids surfing were to be found. Even the hustling bustling bus staff were extremely polite always giving way to guests and folding napkins as guests ran outside to snap a quick photo. Keep up the amazing job, see you next time!

Ok, let's be honest. Is it a little bit touristy? Yes. Is it a little bit expensive ? Yes. But you know what....we are so glad that we went. It was amazing ! Our waiter, Edwin, was knowledgable, attentive, and FUN.
The sunset view was dramatic, but the food was even more fantastic ! For starters, the ceviche, crab corn chowder, and crispy crab ahi roll were all extraordinary ! All of the fish entrees that we had were fresh and flavorful. Don't miss the lobster Mac n' cheese ! The wine list was prolific and affordable. We enjoyed Chateau Montelena with our meal.
They were kind enough to offer us some Lappert's ice cream for our birthday dessert. It was wonderful !
We really, really enjoyed this restaurant and can't wait to go back.
