What a major disappointment ....after reading the description of this event, my husband and I were looking forward to a special evening our......the food was mediocre....not warm, no roasted pig, cold rice cold vegetables. The performers were good; however, it was difficult to see them and we were in the front of the standard seating...I can't imagine how the folks behind us could see.

Definitely not worth the money

My husband and I went on February 13, 2013 and had the best time. The Sheraton Kauai Resort is the perfect spot with their ocean front luau grounds. Short wait to enter the festivities, where you will encounter local artisans-buy your sweetheart a lovely flower lei to go with the nice shell lei you are presented at check in. There are tasty pupu's (appetizers), draft beer, both light and local brews, good wine and mai tai's/blue hawaii cocktails. The dinner was abundant with noodles, vegetables, poki, rice, meats, chicken, fish, salads and crazy desserts. Oh, yes! Don't forget to try the POI! There was ample time to eat your fill of very good food and drink. The dancers were all youthful, slender and talented. I really enjoyed the quartet of drummers, and the muscians were spot on! They played all the best songs along with the tour of Polynesia from Samoa to New Zealand styles. A few guests went onstage to try out their hula skills; always a treat. Even the sprinkling of rain couldn't stop the show as they handed out disposable ponchos to everyone at the first drop. No spoiler, but the fire knife dancer was really skilled and very entertaining. What a fun evening and great value, drinks, appetizers, dinner and entertainment all wrapped up in a nice 3 hour package! Excellent value and a wonderful time. Aloha~
