“Nothing fancy but shrimp was good”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

This little place is just a step up from a food truck but located in a nice shopping center. Seating is somewhat limited but there was outdoor seating available. The spicy garlic shrimp was very good. Fried shrimp. coconut shrimp & fish & chips were decent. There is a cat that hangs out nearby & gets some raw shrimp brought to her by the staff every now & then. The cat was not bothersome & our kids enjoyed watching it chase a mouse through the parking lot. Food is still a bit pricey here. The waitress behind the counter who took our order forgot to enter it into the system I guess (you pay after your meal) because my husband & I had to remember what all of us ordered so that we could pay our bill. Kind of weird but not a deal breaker. We got one order of fries free because they sent out regular fries when my son had ordered garlic fries. We would return again & do recommend this place.

“quirky and fantastic”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

This was a highlight for us -- both for food and service. It was nothing fancy but the shrimp was cooked perfectly with crazy good sauces and the woman who served us was a delightful, local character.

“SHRIMP”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

It's just Gooooood! This is a small, cafe-like restaurant. Don't let the casual vibe fool you. It's fresh, quality food. My favorite is the scampi and butter-prepared shrimp. Simple and Tasty. Nice owners and staff.

“It is OK, but not a repeat visit.”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

We had heare of the Savage Shrimp and its history as a Food Truck in Koloa, Kauai, near Lawai Beach. The local authories were able to get the owner to move into the shopping mail behind her to eliminate the food truck.

The restaurant is a small hole in the wall operation. Inside are 4 table and outside 2 or 3. Interior decorations are typical of a food truck atmosphere, with graffi all over the wall like you see on a food trunk.

Menu striclty shrimp, prepared in several different ways. We had the garlic shrimp and the Lava Rock shripm ( very spicy) If you get the Lava Rock shrimp take some extra napkins it is messy to eat especially when you have the remove the shells.

Shells are split on all entrees and you remove the shells. They will do it for you for a $2.00 charge per plate. Alcoholic beverage is not available. Service is prompt and friendly.

The shrimp, well it was ok but it was over cooked. The seasoning was good.

You can also call in for take out.

Price: overpriced for what you got. One can do better!
