This place is fantastic! There were four of us in the suite and it was perfect. We woke up every morning with coffee and cooked breakfast and spent the day checking out the island. The hotel is right in Poipu which is the resort area, so there are lots of nice restaurants and bars, but close enough to check out other parts of the island. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, the suite is all high grade appliances and finishes, and they cleaned the room everyday, even doing the dishes. The staff was friendly and very helpful and I really appreciated the amenities and the rentals you can get by the pool (snorkel, fins, etc). Can't recommend this place enough.

Room Tip: Room by the lobby are easy to access from car and away from sometimes noisy family pool area.

My wife and I chose this location for our honeymoon after reading the amazing reviews. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this location. We stayed from April 22-30, 2013.
The complex is currently under construction and the hotel website disclaims this as well. The construction was not loud at all however, the views were not all that great. We had a view of a dug out hole in the earth where the swim up pool will be installed over the coming 5 years. That said, our room (building 9, suite 304) was amazing. It was a two bedroom, 2 1/2 bath suite. Each suite has an elevator stop. so for our suite, the elevator had a button for 304. the elevator opens and it was our suite only. Not ten other suites.
I have added pictures to show the kitchen which was huge, all granite, stainless steel appliances (wolf oven and subzero fridge and freezer). They didn't spare any expense in this kitchen...except for the knives. Nice glassware, flatware and dishes but the knives were sad. Had trouble cutting an avocado and we are really good in the kitchen.
The master bath was another spot they didn't spare any expense. All stone walk-in shower which was the size of a small car! Warm colored stone throughout as well. Double sinks in both bathrooms too. The dining rooms was set for 6 people and flat screen TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. The sliding doors that led to the patio opened up to create an opening about 12' high by 20' long. On nice days, which was everyday because it's Hawaii, we opened up the doors all the way and could see ocean from the living room without going outside. This was really cool.
The grounds were neatly manicured all the time with a putting green and volleyball/soccer area. Two pools which were very nice with waterfalls and hot tubs.
Poipu beach is just 2 minutes from the unit. The area surrounding Poipu beach is hit or miss for food. Check out some of my other reviews for good spots to hit.
The only con that I really had to vent about was the $20 daily service fee. This fee included parking, which was an open air lot with about 80 spots where 10 were taken at any given time. It also included Internet access which on their website says is complimentary. Be warned if you need to be connected to the Internet with more than two devices, you'll be paying an additional $9.99 a day on top of the $20 for further devices (iPad, smartphone, iPhone, etc.). When you are paying upwards of $400/night for a stay, stuff like that should be included. Seems like an extra gouge charge for parking and Internet that's supposed to be free.
Again, overall it was a very nice location and stay and I would recommend it to others. Also it was really close to a very nice golf course, one of the top 100 of the US. It's called Poipu Bay Golf Course. It was the home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 1994-2006! Nice spot!

Room Tip: Do not pick a first floor suite. The chickens on Kauai run free and crow early EVERY morning. Anythi...

The resort is fantastic. Truly excellent rooms with a great kitchen setup. We had a 2 BR grand suite with a wraparound lanai. Nice views of the mountains in one direction, limited ocean views on the other side (we were in Building 3, other buildings are probably better). Note that the views on the 4th floor are better, but its also much, much windier as you go higher. There were times you could hardly sit outside, while at pool level you hardly noticed the breeze. The least desirable aspect is that the beach (near the Sheraton) is technically walkable, but its a long and unpleasant walk. There are several beaches within a few minutes drive, but if you want to easily walk from your suite to the beach, this is not the place. But then there are very few truly beachfront resorts in the Poipu/Koloa area.
