Shipwreck's Beach is the best beach at Poipu. Surf is excellent, bathrooms are clean, showers are great, park is wonderful, parking is close and easy to find, and there is a cliff to jump off. Went there almost everyday with our family. Palm trees in the park are perfect for slack lines.

Great place to explore. Sometimes brave men will dive off the cliff when they get a crowed to watch. Great view just be carefull around the cliffs. The Hyatt Resort are friendly to visitors to the area which is a nice rare find . Do check this area out!

A great beach to watch the surf and the surfers, but not good for swimming, due to dangerous conditions.

Could not go into the water once due to high surf. Very rocky but spotted many whales and surfers. The heritage trail starts here which is great

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and spent some time at this beach. We did stand at the waters edge and with both kids hanging on my arms, we felt the power of the waves hit our legs and try to pull us in. It was enough to know this was no place for us Midwesterners to be swimming. I recommend rising early and walking the almost deserted beach. Beautiful scenery and plenty of local surfers to provide a good show.
