We went to Kakapakii Joe's twice during our stay and really enjoyed it. Outdoor seating was quite enjoyable and the atmosphere/mood was perfectly relaxed and low key. Hostess and server were both genuine which made for a perfect meal. Lunch was fresh fish sandwich for my husband and a great Cobb salad for me. Mai Tai's were excellent as well and reasonably priced.

Our second trip back was to watch football since our hotel bar lost their satellite. Had appetizers and some great local beers.

After spending a few days on the island, we were tired of spending top dollar on over elaborate macadamia nut crusted tourist food. We were so happy to walk in and discover an unpretentious, friendly sports bar with reasonably priced food and drinks. It's popular with locals too, which says a lot. Definitely come here for a beer and a burger!

Kalapaki Joe's in Poipu is a pretty typical sports bar. Menu offerings are about what you'd expect at a sports bar: burgers, fried stuff, ample drink selection. I had the fish & chips, which were nothing too special (but was served on a paper bag - cute touch - and they did offer me malt vinegar).

The wait-staff was laid-back but attentive. The room was loud, but they have plenty of TVs, showing all the NFL games you can dream of, so it's not such a bad place to have a bite to eat and catch a game.

Prices were pretty good for the area.

The food wasn't great, but was decent enough. (Good thing you don't go to Kauai for the food!)

Nothing to rave about. a good restaurant with good prices. We ordered calamari strips, and they brought us clam strips, other than that minor error, the food & service is good, the prices are good as well.
The view is okay, and you do have the trade winds blowing right in, feels great.
The place can get very noisy in a hurry. Families can eat there before 4pm.

We ate here for breakfast and lunch. The pancakes and breakfast sandwich were very good. We had the nachos when we came back for lunch. They were huge and very tastey! The staff was very attentitive and friendly.
