If you like gelato or are looking for something small and sweet then stop by for a small cup of their gelato. They many flavors to taste before making that difficult choice. Rather than have dessert at the restaurant we would stop here to savor another new flavor.

“Yummy!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Papalani has a good selection of gelato - many flavors have a tropical twist, and everything we tasted was rich, creamy and not too sweet. There are also around ten flavors of sorbet and sugar free choices. Well worth the stop!

“Best Gelato ANYWHERE”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

We were in the Poipu area for 6 days and went back to Papalani gelato several times. We would have dinner elsewhere and drive over to here just for dessert!
Their gelato flavors are amazing. Plus the fruit sorbets are wonderful also.
Its the best gelato I have ever tasted and my favorite food is ice cream/gelato.
we have had gelato all over, even Italy the home of gelato and the texture and flavors here were the best I have ever had.
tried a few of their chocolates which are also great.

“Best ever coffee”

When they are open - GO! You won't regret it at all. Bold flavors and awesome coffee. I tried 2 different types of coffee and 5 different gelato flavors over our week on Kauai. No regrets. Just a big smile.

“Disappointing and expensive”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Our plan was to get some gelato and watch the sunset. We ordered two cups, and it was over $10 for both! There was one poor girl working, and though not busy, it took so long, we missed the sun set. The gelato itself wasn't good either, for example, "cheesecake" didn't taste anything like it. I wish we would have saved our money and time.
