We really enjoy this hike-you can go a long way or turn around at any point. There are quite a few exposed areas so it can get really hot. But if you go a long way, past the walk along the golf course, you can get to water. And from there you can walk all the way around the point and get to another beach area which can be accessed to a four wheel drive vehicle due to road conditions. This particular stretch of beach usually does not have many people on it especially during the week. There are generally great views from the cliff hike.

This is a relatively easy hike right off the beach, and you're on the cliffs right away so you don't have to hike the full trail. Very unique landscape... highly recommended.

A nice area to explore and great location to watch the sunrise. Multiple trails, but some area are a bit steep. Wear good shoes for climbing.

A nice hike that gets treacherous the farther in you go. The lithified cliffs are sand and slowly being eroded by wind, water, and people walking on them. If you are interested in geology and erosion it is a terrific place to observe these taking place. You can hike for 5 minutes or maybe 30 minutes ( only if you are young and athletic) to see the beauty of the sand dunes and their decay.

I pick Hawaii as a vacation spot for it's tropical beauty and this destination did not disappoint! It's a 2 mile hike in an undeveloped part of Poipu. I'm 60 years old and had no problem walking up to the cliffs. The trails were in a wooded area so you could pop in and out of the cliffs in a shaded area, though I would recommend bringing water with you for the trip. The thing I enjoyed most about this tropical nature hike was each cliff and each side of the cliff was a little different from the next. I attached two pictures of the same cliff, as you can see each side of the cliff is a little different than the other side. If you like a nice short hike with some unique shoreline views this is the spot for you.
