“A wow of a walk”

A great walk with outstanding views over the ocean and coastline. There are no signs (common in Hawaii) for this walk but it's hard to go wrong. More senior walkers should keep inland, as the cliff top paths can be tough but over all a fine walk of about 3 miles each way, right past the horse farm

Easy hike, well worth the drive down the crappy road, just be careful with your rental car and go real slow! It will take you a while and you'll wonder if you're going the right way. Be sure to leave before the posted times, we know people who got stuck in there, no joke!

This place is a must for a hiker or walker to kauai. It is one of my favorite hikes in all the world.

This was an amazing hike. Loved it !!!! Start at the Hyatt in Poipu by Shipwreck Beach and hike towards the left. Amazing views. It can be very windy along the trail.

I just came to scope the grounds of Hyatt and views around Shipwreck Beach, we saw a sandy path to our left and just started walking to see where it led. There is an easy sandy path and then there are shortcuts paths that are steeper ascends up the cliff, but quicker. I am not sure I would even call this a hike, more like a challenging walk, because I did this in my flip flops, but I don't recommend that. Also it is pretty short too, you can do it roundtrip in about an hour including taking in the views along this oceanside trail.

The views you will see and the pictures you will take will be amazing...maybe some of the best of your trip. Surprisingly there are not that many people on the cliffs or trail, so you feel like you are an "adventure seeker" even though it was not that challenging.
