“Maha'ulepu Area Truly Worth the Drive”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

The whole Maha'ulepu area, including the lithified cliffs is well worth the bumpy drive down the pitted dirt road. Please treat this area with respect, it is remote and easy access can be shut off if there are problems. Kawailoa bay is a little slice of paradise, and the whole entire beach area is a treat. The cliff trail is a good time, but be sure to bring lots of water! The Poipu area is always usually sunny and warm.

“Beautiful nature walk”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

This is a great way to get away from the resorts and just appreciate the natural beauty of Kauai. I'd recommend wearing good walking shoes and bring water.

“Beautiful Walk”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

We liked the view and enjoyed the privacy. There is evidence of some partying with litter etc.. I would not recommend this after the sun sets and be aware of the trail you took so as not to be confused on the return trip.

“lovely easy hike”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

This hike is easy -- a gentle slope up to the top of the cliffs then gorgeous views. Entrance is at the east end of the beach adjacent to the Hyatt. Does have little shade, so best done early or late in the day when a bit cooler.

“Nice casual hike”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

Very leisurely and very scenic. You are along cliffs and then you hike down to a very secluded beach. There is a golf course and stables you'll see too. As said in a previous review this is a nice warm up hike.
