Spent 5 nights there using Starwood Pts for two rooms. Upgraded at check-in for beach view rooms. Second floor rooms overlooking the beach, but the view was disappointing as our rooms only had a partial ocean view as we looked out over the restaurant roof. You could see the ocean, but it was not as good a view as we wanted. Would recommend a room in the Ocean wing rather than the Beach wing for a better view. It is one of the better resorts on this side of island, making it convenient for exploring the west and south sides of Kauai. Within easy walking distance to Poipu Shopping Village and other restaurants. Breakfast buffet, although somewhat expensive, was quite nice. The rooms were relatively large and clean. Small balcony overlooking the beach (although view somewhat obstructed). Beach area at hotel, although quite picturesque, was relatively narrow which limited beach activities, but you could walk a short distance to the beach behind Kiahuna Plantation for a better location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again, but would choose a different room location.More
