We loved our oceanfront 2nd floor studio in the Turtle Cove Cottage. The bed, the view, the art, the hdtv, the wifi. And, we had front row balcony seats to the New Years Eve fireworks at Poipu Beach. Very cool. The wildlife was wonderful - turtles, whales, birds, geckos. Baby Beach was perfect for sunsets. Poipu Beach in front of the Sheraton was the best sun and swim spot and our cottage was an easy walk to a good variety of restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. All we needed really. We're now planning our trip for next year.

We are staying in their Poipu Kai Cottage for a four-week holiday and I have to tell you all - it's wonderful. This is our third time booking this beautiful property and it was like coming home when we arrived. The superior furnishings, artwork, custom kitchen and bathrooms, and private pool and chaises are the draw. Its close location to Shipwrecks Beach and the Grand Hyatt puts it over the top for us. Jessica walks the oceanfront trail past Shipwrecks Beach on the mornings she isn't taking a yoga class at the Hyatt's spa, while I work in the den. We rented bikes this year and are enjoying our rides around Poipu. The area's two golf courses are in good shape and the snorkeling off Lawai Beach is always good. We are so delighted with the new restaurants and organic food store in Kukuiula Village, we haven't even left Poipu yet. Everything's all right here.

This property is a beautiful, spacious home with 3 separate suites. It's perfect for travelling with other couples or family. Each suite is private with lovely bathrooms (shower with a view, large bathtub, lanai & two separate vanities). The kitchen has an excellent lay-out & is very well-equipped. We hosted a dinner party & sat outside around the pool with the tiki torches lighting up the night sky. Perfect! If you prefer to dine indoors there is a lovely dining table with a sitting area. The designer furnishings are comfortable & usable. The cottage is ideally located close to golf courses, shopping & dining. Can't wait to go back!

When we decided to go to Kauai with our family over the Christmas holiday I contacted Coastline Cottages. Lori was quick to respond and show me what she thought would work for our family of five. As our "children" are older (21,19 and 17) it was important that we have enough room for everyone to have their own space. We settled on Shipwreck Cottage and were not disappointed!

The spacious cottage is nestled amongst other privately owned homes. Because of the vast area of lawn in the front of the house we didn't even notice neighbors and enjoyed the privacy we like to have. The lanai is roomy and comfortable and affords a view of the ocean beyond the expanse of lawn. The open plan to the well equipped kitchen and living area was lovely. The cottage was well equipped with all the conveniences of home. There was fresh linen and extra blankets. Everything seemed to be thought of. We even had very fancy beach chairs to use. Everything was clean and beds were very comfortable. The master bedroom is rather fun with its four poster canopied bed and the master ensuite had just been renovated. The aesthetics of the cottage were pleasing. Nicely decorated and well lit.

The price was right and we could have never stayed in such style in a hotel.

While it was about a 1 km walk to the pool it was usually quiet and a good size for a swim and a read. Tennis courts looked to be in very good shape though we didn't play while there. The cottage is close to two very different and dynamic beaches and surrounded by good running paths and there is a beautiful walk just off off Shipwreck's Beach. The proximity to the Hyatt is a good thing as the grounds are beautiful and the restaurants very good.

Kauai itself is spectacular and a hiker's dream. Lori was very helpful in recommending restaurants, the best places for groceries, and which catamaran tours were best. Our favorite meals were at the Hyatt; Dondero's (ask for Ralph) and Tidepools.

It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend Shipwreck Cottage and the services of Coastline Cottages.

I can hardly add to the accolades heaped on Turtle Cove Cottage. First thing on arriving I called Lori and asked if they had a crowbar. Taken aback, she asked why, and I explained it was going to take one to forcibly remove us at the end of our alloted week.

Rarely has a place to stay been 'perfect'. This was as close as it gets. Ok, maybe the Allerton estate home at Lawai Beach down the way might be more perfect, but you can't rent that.

The construction across the stream is done, so quiet has returned. The turtles were HUGE, and came every day. The outdoor shower was exquisite. The furnishings and playful art work, absolutely lovely.

The bathroom was elegant and modern, yet done up in traditional style with wainscotting and old style faucets. A full kitchen in the downstairs unit, where we stayed. Beautiful hardwood (Koa?) flooring. A privacy gate and small planted area in front, which, with the barbecue and table, was very welcoming.

We'll be back! Unfortunately not next week.
