I kayaked up the rive. I swung on a rob swing for the first time in 10 years. I zip lined for the first time. I had a wonderful time in the old swimming hole. I felt like a boy again for the first time in 15 years.
Totally ROCKED! We went out with 3 Teryx4, 6 kids and 4 adults in our party. Lumbo and Christian were the tour guides, great guys! It was recommended that we do the 3 hour tour which was mostly on the trails. From what I understand, the tour with lunch and to the falls, is mostly swimming at the falls, and not so much on the road. We preferred to be on the road. We went to a spot that was used in one of the movies (not sure if it was Indiana Jones movie, or Jurassic), the kids were able to swing on the original rope used in the movie. If you wanted, you could swing and jump into the river, we chose not to! The best part was going up to Kipu Kai! Loved the history story telling, too. BIG MAHALO to you folks!
Kipu Ranch Adventures takes ATVers through some absolutely beautiful countryside on Kauai. You can imagine dinosaurs in the area where Jurassic Park was filmed, natives chasing Indiana Jones in the area where Raiders was filmed and Neverland in the area which inspired Hook. Troy and Christian were our guides and they were fantastic. They took special care of our daughter who was new to ATVs (and driving).
We booked the four hour waterfall tour. My wife (who had never ridden an ATV) had a blast. The guides were awesome and made her feel safe the entire time. For those wanting to go really fast on the ATV's...remember it's a tour. The fastest we got up to was about 30 miles per hour. The scenery was amazing and saw lots of cows and pigs. The lunch was really good and hit the spot after riding ATV's for two hours. The rope swing was pretty fun and it was a good opportunity to wash off the mud. The tour guides give great history about the land. We had lots of opportunities to stop and take pictures. We would definitely pay the money to do this again!
