This is an ATV (Side by Side) ride that takes you through some ranch area. Doesn't sound like much but it is. We went to several waterfalls, and saw some amazing scenery. We stopped for lunch while watching some zip-liners go by. If you sat still and watched the trees, some beautiful tropical birds would land. Now, let me tell you why this trip was so awesome for me and my wife. We have grown up with ATV's, quads, side by sides, etc. so this trip was not so much the driving experience but seeing Kauai. You have to remember that Kauai gets a LOT of rain. More than any other place on the planet. Since we went during the winter, it had rained a lot. I talked to one of the tour guides and let him know my wife and I are very experienced. He recommended us to ride in the very back. I now know why (see some of the pictures). One guide leads and the other follows from the rear. They take everyone around a circle when you first start out to make sure everyone can steer and brake, etc. The guide told me there are many pot holes filled with water. He recommended everyone just go through them at a moderate speed. He told me to hang back and then floor it through the muddy water. We did and it was a blast. Muddy water would shoot up over the front of the side by side and we would get totally drenched. We loved it. When we got to the first waterfall, we both got in the water thinking all the mud would come off - wrong. Now we know about some of the T-shirts that sell and they say made from Hawaii's red mud. We didn't need to buy a t-shirt like this - we already had one. This mud will not come off. We didn't care because it was so much fun. Now you don't have to do what we did, you can slow down but that is no fun. The guides had a bet to see who could get the muddiest. We won of course. We had a great lunch and then off to another waterfall. Both my wife and I swam - the water was cold but you got used to it. There was also a rope you could swing on and jump into the water. For us, this was one of the hi-lites of our vacation.
