3 of us rode with our guide, Lumbo, and had the best time. We loved the scenery, the conversation and most of all his driving. We felt safe at all times and we were laughing and just having a good time. Having lunch at a waterfall is a definite plus. We went to two waterfalls not just one. I would recommend it for the whole family! If you don't want to drive, let the guide drive and sit back and enjoy the ride!

We loved our tour with Nate! Went early in the morning, which was nice because it stayed cool and not too muggy driving around the property. Got to see cool movie scenes, including rope swing from Indiana Jones and property from The Descendants. Great to hear stories / legends from local guy. He was super friendly and made the experience really fun.

Justin and Lambo made this adventure on BLAST!! Great guides with fantastic sense of humors. It was the first time I rode on a 750 cc Quad, nervous at first, but they truly took the time to teach the group the "how to's" and the "what not to do's" on the ATV. They provided lunch for us and ate by a waterfall, we got to see where Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Arc got filmed, Kipu Ranch is a beautiful place to see.

The owners of Kipu Ranch have opened their private 3,000-acre cattle ranch to the public by offering daily 3-hour ATV tours with stunning views of Kauai at almost every turn. My brother and I were given the choice to either drive an ATV (after appropriate instructions) or ride as passengers on the tour in the early morning of November 1, 2012. We chose to ride as passengers so we could take pictures. We were then assigned to the lead vehicle with Troy, one of our tour guides. The other guide on the tour was Dennis.

The lead vehicle was the best one for photos because we didn’t have the dust that the half dozen vehicles behind us were subject to. Also, Troy was able to identify good photo ops along the way. We were treated to stunning views of the majestic Ha’upu Mountain Range, the Hu’leia Valley and familiar locations straight out of Hollywood movies.

We stopped at the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” lagoon on the banks of the Hu’leia River where Harrison Ford attempted to escape Havito Indians by swinging on a rope into the river and to a waiting seaplane. We stood on the same cliff the King family stood in the movie “The Descendants,” overlooking a stretch of beautiful land belonging to the family.

As the lead guide on this tour, Troy clearly took responsibility for the safety of the group, which included novice ATV drivers. He did the initial training and stopped often during the tour to check on how well everyone was doing. At one point, he stopped and demonstrated how to handle the ATV on rough terrain even though the terrain really wasn’t that rough. Troy and Dennis were both very competent ATV drivers and trainers and knowledgeable about the area and its history. They were great tour guides and fun to be with.

My husband and I went on the three hour tour with Ryan and his cousin Marlon. First of all, if you go, ask for them. I've never met two funnier or more friendly tour guides in all the world I've traveled. They know their history and how to show you a good time.

This is a working cattle ranch and the vistas and views are amazing. They take you down into the valley and up to the top of a ridge where you can view a private beach surrounded by mountains. The crew is very respectful of the land and ask the same from the riders. I like that. The equipment is sound and you have to show your skills before they let you out on the trails.

There are only two such tours on the island. I've only gone on this one, but wholeheartedly recommend it. Next time we will take the longer tour to see more scenery. Wear your yuckiest clothes - you WILL get sloppy dirty and that is the funnest part!
