Description: On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Duke’s is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurant’s open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that meanders through the tables. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, romantic dinner, or tropical cocktail in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

Great location and view. Friendly attentive people and on of the best salad bars on the island. Duke's has great early evening entertainment and the artist who play there are worth seeing. The Barefoot Bar downstairs is great for a quick sandwich or drink, but is very popular and gets crowded quickly during happy hour!

The Marriott Lihue is the location for Duke's and the grounds for this hotel are peaceful and stunning. Valet parking is complimentary for diners. We walked a good distance through the grounds to get to the restaurant. While we ate our lunch of salads and coconut shrimp we watched paddle boarders out in the harbor.

Dukes is a wonderful place for happy hour. The bar is a lot of fun and right on the water. The atmosphere is cool too. It's a fun laid back spot. The food was pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but a solid meal none the less.

Great selection of food, salad bar with real Caesar salad. What a view. We made it in time for happy hour with Hawaiian music. Staff was very attentive, there when you needed them.

The first night we arrived on Kauai, we visited Duke's @ The Marriott. The steak and iceberg lettuce with the blue cheese dressing was really delicious, as well as the swordfish served on rice with some kinda heavenly sauce. We returned at a later date for nachos, a Mahi Mahi sandwich and fries....not so good. The nachos were dry, the Mahi Mahi not so fresh. The ceaser salad was good. The service is expert!
