We ate at Dukes on our way thru Lihue - twice. It's next to the Marriott and in front of a nice sized beach. Dukes is a great beach restaurant. Most seats have a great shot of the beach. A few of their water / garden area inside. Both times the service was great. Some food items were better than others, but their nacho app is what brought me back a second time. It was fabulous. Reasonably priced food too.

We ate many lunches and dinners here. It has a very good salad bar and the food is tasty. There doesn't seem to be a lot of variety though and we ended up ordering very similar dishes most nights. Downstairs is definitely the noisier bar area while the upstairs balcony is a bit quieter and not has rushed. I would recommend at least 1 or 2 meals during your Kauai stay.

Went during happy hour, good drinks, also it was taco tuesday and we had fish tacos for 3 bucks each, very good. Fish and chips was tasty too. Lava flow was a great drink!

Have eaten here many times, and never been disappointed in the food. The salad bar is pretty good (don't see them too often anymore), and all of our fish dishes were DELICIOUS! Get there before the sun goes down for a cocktail downstairs overlooking the beach and harbor. Definately reccomend.

What a great place! I wish we had dined here more often during our stay in Kauai. Make sure you try the Hawaiian Pizza and Cashew Chicken! Top it off with a Piña Colada and enjoy the live music overlooking the beach.
