We ate here several times while staying across the street at the Marriott - came for dinner once and it was so good, we came back two more times! We've checked out most of the family restaurants on the east/south side of Kauai and The Feral Pig is right up there with the best. The regular burgers and fries are great - huge patties and fantastic bread. The Feral Pig burger was also great - pork belly, sweet onions and a 50/50 mix of pork shoulder and Kauai beef. The pork belly potstickers are tangy and filling. Reasonable prices (for Hawaii, at least) - our family of four ate for $40. Everything is made from scratch, including the pickles. We have a new favorite on Kauai!

Heard about this place from some locals, so thought I would try it. They have a special burger that is half pork and half beef...it is their signatures burger...I wasn't too impressed. Not much flavor for all the hoopla. service was acceptable but nothing about the place was acceptional.

We had the shrimp and cilantro wontons - they were just ok at best
The jerk chicken wings were very spicy but good
The burgers were ok but DRY
The fish and chips should be called batter and chips and with just 3 little pieces it looked like a kids meal, very disappointing.
The Pork Loin - where to start... they substiuted bone in, thin pork chops without letting us know if we wanted them, they were extremely overcooked and the blue cheese mashed potatoes were just potatoes with cheese on top.

The service - UGH. one waitress was working the entire restaurant while the other sat down and talked or counted money. Had to wait for everything, from walking into the place until trying to leave. Should have turned around right when we walked in.

A zipline guide told us about the special hamburger @ The Feral Pig that's made with kalua pig & hamburger-ONO TO THE MAX!! It was so good we went back 2 days later (again after ziplining) and had it again. Delicious, filling for 2 teenage boys (bottomless pits!!). Ginger lemonade wasn't to our taste but the beer was FINE! Good fish & chips also.

After driving all around town looking for a diner we decided to stop here as a last resort. It being a pub we didn't think that they would have good breakfast options. Boy! We're we wrong. A great breakfast. So good that we plan to eat there tomorrow. The French toast was to die for. They serve with coconut syrup. I must find coconut syrup when we get home. Better than s..
