“Best burger on Kauai!”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Ask for their signature burger, its not on the menu. It has smoked pork bellies ground into the local Kauai beef. Everything they serve comes from the area. The Feral Pig was so good we came back four times in a week. The breakfast is cheap and just as good if not better than the mediocre Marriott hotel fare across the street. The owner is there everyday. The waitresses provide great service and are cute. The owner has a great sense of humor and told us about the unique photos on the walls. FYI- they don't have A/c so it can be a bit warm when there are no trade winds. So belly up to the bar and have a cold beer or frozen island style drink.

“Best Restaurants”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

We stayed at the Kauai Marriot. Even though the Marriott restaurants had very good food it was too costly for us to eat at everyday. Just a nice walk down from the Marriot we found two of our favorite restaurants.

Kalapaki Joes (happy hour 3-6) What a great place to eat and watch sports. They had a great buffet early Sunday morning $9.99) for NFL football. They also have a nice happy hour with delicious fish tacos (very big) and nachos like you have never seen before. Big selection of beer at a reasonable price.

In the same shopping area - 1st floor there is The Feral Pig - Best hamburger ever. So, big and delicious you may think of splitting it with someone. Also, had good drinks and good service. If the Feral Pig is not on their menu - order it anyway. THEE BEST!!!!!

“Great banana pancakes”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We had planned on having breakfast at TipTop Cafe on the advice of friends, but found it had closed. On our way back to our hotel we saw Thr Feral Pid was open for breakfast. With a name like that, we had to give it a try. I'm glad we did. My Banana Macadamia nut pancake was huge, light and delicious. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, but who cares. A good fnd.

“Delicious”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

This restaurant is pretty much a sports bar with limited decor and such but their food is excellent! My wife had the pulled pork sandwich which was delicious and I had their special which was stuffed pork tenderloin and that was fabulous. Tripadvisor recommended this and we weren't steered wrong there. Worth the visit.
