First thing it's all about the "MONEY" at Kauai Beach Resort not about the customer. When you check in they charge you for parking on there lots....$12.95 per day. Also at the pool side bar or at the bar inside the hotel....if you order food and share it with the person your with there's a $3.00 sharing charge....never heard of this before. Drinks are not any special....$10.00ea. Breakfest is very much a rip-off .

Next is all the rooms are not clean and the Roosters (Chicken)wake you up every morning at 4-5 am....its nice to sleep in when on holidays but not here. Fire alarm went off 4 times when I was there....once at 2am....3am and then 4 am.

Swimming pool around the bar is covered with sand....this is where the chickens hang out and do there dropping in the sand....very un healthy to walk in bare feet anywhere on property.Chickens are everywhere and leaving dropping everywhere....just nasty.

I would not tell anyone to stay at this resort.

Room Tip: Go any place else but here

Aloha and thank your for your review of the Kauai Beach Resort. Needless to say, we are dissapointed that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience that the roosters on the property may have caused you. Please rest assured, our maintenance department is addressing this concern to help reduce their nesting near the facilities. We do hope we have the pleasure of your return visit so that you may experience the truly beautiful resort that we are. Mahalo!

My husband and I stayed at this resort September 2012 for our honeymoon for 4 nights and we had an amazing time! Our room was gorgeous and we had a fabulous view of sunrise and sunset each day. The buffet breakfast was very delicious! If you go for the buffet breakfast, get a table on the patio as you have a fabulous view of the resort and sun/ocean. Breakfast had various options such as: scrambled eggs, omelet station, cereal, assorted muffins and pastries, fruits, homestyle potatoes, bread slices, juices/tea/coffee, and bacon/sausages. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well. The beach behind the resort isn't the greatest looking beach..water is rough (thus you really can't swim). But still go walk out to the edge of the cliff and take in the scenery. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Kauai!

We only stayed the one night as we were moving up to Princeville for the following week and would definately come back for a longer stay next time. Wonderful property with beautiful rooms, restaurants and grounds. The view from the beach is incredible and we caught glimpses of whales the day we arrived. The restaurant for dinner was incredible, relaxed and friendly service with wonderfully plated entrees and an excellent salad bar with dinner. The room was well appointed and very comfortable bed. WiFi is $13.95 per day and parking also a daily cost. Centrally located and well worth the price.

This resort was perfect! The staff were all lovely and accommodating; they really treated us like royalty. We stayed in the beach front suite and saw whales from our balcony every day we were there! The room was delightful and you can't beat the view. The water out front isn't great for swimming, but we did snorkel there once. The beach is great for walks...we even saw a full rainbow while walking the beach! We would absolutely stay there again and recommend to it to all our friends. :)

Everything about Kauai Beach Resort is beautiful...the rooms, the grounds and pool, lobby, and the views of the beach which is just a short walk away. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the service was very good, as well. It is only a few miles to the airport, and we never noticed any noise from air traffic. It described by others as being a good middle point for visiting the north or south end of the island. Previous posts speak to a dirt parking lot. However, we found that to be the case only in overflow parking lot area, and simply dropped our bags by the front entrance or brought the car around whenever we were headed out. Keep in mind that it is in a rural setting which is what makes it so special.

We had a wonderful 8 night vacation in Kauai. The property was very nice and the staff all showed the wonderful aloha spirit of the islands. Nice pools with two outdoor hot tubs and a great outside bar ( open 11 to 5 this time of year ) with an amazing bartender Kainoa, who can answer any question about the island that you can come up with.
The only negative about the property is a parking fee of $12.99 daily, especially considering that the parking area was undergoing construction and we had to park in the dirt for most of our stay. I requested a waiver of the parking fee to no avail. Sent the GM two e-mails with no response, which seemed odd since the GM responds to reviews pretty consistently.
Do yourself a huge favor and include the breakfast buffet if it's available for your package. The breakfast buffet was fantastic every day and pretty much saved us a lunch every day as we had snacks packed during our many adventures each day. It saved us a ton of money to be sure ! One of your biggest expenses will be food and if like to enjoy adult beverages, you can expect the bill to increase substantially.
Overall I would highly recommend this resort to all and we had a wonderful visit.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a pool or partial ocean view. It doesn't hurt to ask.

This was a nice place. It's right off the main road but not in the city. So you won't be able to walk to area restaurants or shopping. It's a self contained resort. Defiantly need a car. Restaurants on the resort were nice, and the little jewelry shop onsite had the best prices on necklaces than anywhere else I looked. The beach in front of the resort is a NO SWIM beach. Just walk along the sand. Big stretch of beach to play on and the pools at the resort are nice. Saline water. Our room had a pool and ocean view. There is a small refrigerator but no microwave. Food on resort is expensive, so we went to Walmart and Costco to stock up on snacks, cereal and beverages. Little ones would love the resort, especially the sandy bottom pool.
We didn't take our little one on this trip and we enjoyed our adult time there too. There was plenty of space for everyone on any type of vacation.
