Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Newly renovated Ocean Course winds its way through mango and guava groves to dramatic seaside cliffs and exceptional ocean views. The longest oceanfront golf in all of Hawaii! MSN Travel called the Ocean Course one of the world's twelve most beautiful courses. It's little wonder that the list of accolades for this Jack Nicklaus Signature track is as long as its string of holes that hug the Pacific. The Ocean Course offers the longest and most continuous stretch of oceanfront golf in all of Hawaii. It is a certain highlight of every visit. Recently renovated all 18 holes are in fabulous shape. Future enhancements include a welcoming new clubhouse on the inland waterway overlooking the 9th hole, along with a world-class practice facility. Both promise to take your game, and your vacation, to the next level.

“Good mix of easy and tough”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Kauai lagoons golf course has it all. The pro shop is first class, course is well maintained, and the price is fair...especially for Marriott guest. I'm a 15 handicap, and I found most holes on the inland 9 (except for # 5) to be straight forward and very fair...good clean fun. The ocean 9 with the summer trade winds were a different story. Hole 10 is well over 570 yards into the teeth of the wind, and I'd like to meet the guy who could be "on in 2". Then the ocean nine cuts you a little break and gives you great scenery for a few holes. Then the tough to ridiculousness starts at 14 and doesn't let up until you reach the clubhouse. Their "signature" hole, # 16 plays more like a putt-putt hole with the slope and elevation drop at the neck of the fairway. This hole is flat out stupid and rewards the duffed shot that rolls for 75-100 yards straight down the fairway to the green instead of the guy who tries to fly the green from the top of the hill! There are many good holes on this course, but don't brag about a gimmick hole that any true fan of the sport will see right through.

“Had a Wonderful Time”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

My husband and I played golf in a scramble thru the Marriott Kauai Resort activity. It was very reasonable in price and even included pupu's after the round. Don't worry about clubs, they can be rented for $25. The staff was so great! It was great fun and we met some very nice people and made some great memories.

I played the combination of the championship course and the additional nine for the discounted twilight rate. I was very impressed with the course and the friendly staff.

“Still an awesome place to play golf”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We play Lagoons every time we are on Kauai. We have never had issues getting tee times, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Course knowledge is a big plus on the Kiele Makai (ocean) nine. You can't beat the views. They had plugged the greens a few days before we played our first round and gave great discounts. So instead of paying the same fee for other less picturesque/challenging courses we just played all our rounds at Lagoons.
