“a fun evening”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

This famous story takes place on Kauai and is World War 2 era (which may partly explain the near absence of young people in the audience!). The entire cast are good singers. The food (this is a dinner theater) is good but not special. The price is expensive (this is the Hawaiian islands, after all), and if you go you'd do well to spend the extra $20 to sit near the front (a general truism for live performances). A nice change of pace and addition to your Kauai visit.

“A fun Evening”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

If your free for a nite, see this show. Come a little early to get a good seat. The singing is good and the story is enjoyable. The food was good, too. Overall, I had a fun night.

“Total Rip off!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Amateur hour doesn't begin to describe it. Have seen better high school plays. NONE of the cast had great voices-- both leads were crackly & failed to hit notes on every song. Poor audio, poor visibility, crammed with senior citizens off tour buses. This was like a really bad cruise ship experience. The food was a long wait in a buffet line with chicken thighs & heavy butter sauce on fish. Lousy. The director actually runs a party co. for kids as her real job. Can't believe we paid almost $200 for this. Save your dough.

“Well done”

The dinner was very good. The show was also very good. I didn't expect to go to a dinner theatre while vacationing in Kauai, but really enjoyed it.

“Don't Waste Your Money!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

This production of South Pacific is really terrible. The staging is "stiff" and many of the great laughs and slap stick just don't come off for a laught at all. Some good voices but the setting is in a ballroom of a hotel so any table back a few rows can't see anything below head level on stage and nothing at all if there is someone tall in front of you. The food was buffet style and just your standard fare. We were very surprised at the cash bar considering the price of the tickets. The best entertainment of the night was one of the valet parkers who cracked jokes every time he brought a car back to the waiting crowd.
