I was not really expecting great Italian in Hawaii and this was a rather unassuming looking place from the outside. In fact, they need a more prominent sign to make sure people don't drive right by.
However, once we got inside the fun began. Our sever (Collen) was spot on for the entire meal and everything we had was excellent starting with the house Cab Sav & Pinot Grigio along with a Bruschetta starter.
We almost fell over when we saw the entrees we chose were only $12 & $17.95 Are you kidding? Every other entree we had at a sit down place in Kauai was in the $20-45 range. The delicious Pesto Grilled Chicken and House Pasta were most excellent and all the more enjoyable knowing we would not have to cancel cable to pay the check. Granted, this was not the high end atmosphere of a beachfront open air palace but we were ready for a more simple but classy meal. Their menu was more classic Italian dishes. Some diners may prefer a more fru fru set of choices but these meals fit our taste just perfectly. Everything tasted very fresh including the crispy salad with local tomatoes.
We liked it so much we went back a couple days later for lunch on the way to the airport. We we running late for our check-in at the airport and we let the nice gal (forgot her name) who waited on us and she had our piping hot Grilled Portabella Mushroom Panini out in no time so that we could make our flight. I sure hope we get back to Kauai soon and if we do this place will be high on our list.
