“Fish was a little overdone, by Hawaiian standards”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We had lunch at the casual, local spot, Koloa Fish Market. The smoked swordfish was tasty. But we also had lunch entrees with the fish of the day, and for me, it was disappointing. By Hawaiian standards, I felt it was overcooked, and they don't usually have that problem in Hawaii. Also it didn't taste as fresh as the fish I enjoyed at most other places. The macaroni salad was just ok, and not as good as what I had elsewhere in other spots in Hawaii.
Overall I felt it was just ok, and I wouldn't eat there again. There are better spots.

“Nice spot for a plate lunch”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Good little spot to swing in and grab a plate lunch (to go...there's no where to eat there). We had the pork dishes, but they also have daily fish plates as well. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

“Best Poke in Town!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Come to get fresh poke everyday from this fish market. People are really nice and the poke is the best...especially the avocado and Ahi poke.

“Best on Kauai”
Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Great food and good value. No frills, but you can't eat frills. Best IMO is the 2 fish plate with 2 scoops of rice. This is where the locals eat.

“Good takeout and fresh fish”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Loved the "Poke bento" takeout and also the fish plate takeout with rice and macaroni and salad. Tons of food, very affordable prices for the area, and very yummy. Also bought very nice quality fresh fish for the bbq. Great place.
