Small restaurant with a small menu and great Mai Tais! Excellent food and service. Probably the least expensive restaurant we have been to on this trip to Kauai. We will be back next visit!

This is a little gem tucked away in the quaint town of Kilauea, Kauai on the North Shore. This is our second trip to Kauai and one of the things we most looked forward to was our return to the Lighthouse Bistro. Although the menu has changed since our last visit, the quality has not. The menu is not large but the offerings are not only diverse but also delectable. Check out their Happy Hour and the Creme Brulee is to die for. The atmosphere is in keeping with the island....casual and understated. Our server, Matt, was as good as they get....personable and helpful but unobtrusive. Although you can find pricier options at other establishments, you won't find much better offerings for such affordable pricing (by island standards) than the Lighthouse Bistro. Your trip will be the better for it! Highly recommended.

Went to The Bistro for the second time this vacation. Food was excellent on both occasions, and we felt this restaurant offered the best value of the three we've visited so far this trip. My husband and I shared the Beet salad the first time and we ordered it again last night. Nice presentation (we had to split ourselves). The fish special was very tasty as were the scallops. I was able to request a side order of asparagus. Service was a little slow the first night and fine last night. We were seated in the (covered) outside corner and bothered by flies during the meal, so we will try a different seat location next visit.

My wife and I had the pleasure of stopping at the Bistro after arriving on Kauai. We arrived in mid-afternoon and were told that the restaurant wasn't open until later that evening. Disappointed but hungry, the bartender invited to sit at the bar and produced an interesting and varied bar food menu.

With a strong Mai Tai in hand, we proceed to enjoy edamame in garlic and chili flakes, great sliders, kalua pork eggrolls, and a fantastic dish called "Rocket Fish". These fried and battered pieces of white fish were incredibly tasty.

We will definitely be returning, this time for a full meal!

For fresh fish being caught right here the portions for the price is very small. The spring roll was not good- but it got taken off the bill. Waitress was lovely. The creme brulee was good. Beets were good. The food was okay but not all that.
