It is too bad that people flock to this place due to reviews in travel books. The pizza is mediocre at best. The dough was not proofed properly. The baked goods were OK. The soup was just not good and had no, to little taste. Then you add onto it some mediocre customer service.

Food is excellent, prices moderate, and it's fun sitting outside with all the small shops around. There's even an entertaining bird in the courtyard that the kids loved. We came here several times during our 3 week stay. It was always busy and great food.

The Kilauea Bakery was one of our favorite spots last year when we came to Princeville, so we were anxious to return again. It did not disappoint. It's a great spot to stop on your way to the Kilauea Lighthouse, in the Historic Kong Lung Center. Our favorite is the breakfast stromboli which is filled with eggs, bacon, and veggies. They sell out quickly. The soups are good - they have four choices each day. The outside seating is nice.

Their soups are very good and some very interesting. Excellent out door atmosphere of a quaint little shop.

Some love the coconut cream eclairs, others the homage soups with secret spices, guava macaroons... But I just had the Billie Holiday pizza- cannot even explain the explosion of joy! - smoked Ono and Gorgonzola cheese! A masterpiece! Great coffees and lattes, a local favorite
