This lighthouse is a must see on any tour of Kauai. Its not far off the main road, and there are plenty of photo opportunities. When you first come in, there is a lookout point over a small inlet and you have an amazing view of the point and lighthouse. If you want to visit the lighthouse and point, you will have to pay a $5 entry fee to the Wildlife preserve. They only take cash, and there is limited parking. Food and Drinks are strictly prohibited, which I can understand but it would be nice to be able to picnic here with family. They have a vast museum and gift shop with lots for kids to do. The bathroom facilities are extremely clean and everything is very well maintained. I'd say overall it is worth the $5 for the panoramic views of the coast.
