Best place to catch plenty of whales doing there thing in the ocean. And a much closer up view then we could see them off of other beaches and cliffs near by. And you get to see a lighthouse and some cool birds too. With only $5.00 to get in it's worth the price just to use the clean restrooms! Remember your binoculars.

Although parking can be a challenge the views are awesome. The lighthouse sits on this huge rock outcropping with a spectacular view of the coast in both directions. Plenty of birds to see!

Just driving to Hanalei and decided to stop to stretch our legs.

Pleasantly surprised. Listened to the video about the lighthouse very interesting. Saw some Nenes and other birds. Didn't see any whales but lots of crashing waves.

If it is windy leave your hat in the car or you will be chasing after it.

Peter Ching, was there signing his prints. Found out Peter Ching drops into places to promote his art. Never know when or where he will show up at a Kauai location.Got my print signed. What a awesome souvenier for the guestroom. .

Clerk explained Kauai's policy on no bags for purchases. Trying to keep the ocean clean. ( Put in my large tote.). Guess who didn't have her life time Senior Pass? but this site was worth the five dollar fee.

We came to visit the Lighthouse with our out of state visitors. One member of our group has mobility issues. When we approached the kiosk, the guide asked if we would like a golf cart. A very nice fellow came down and took our visitor to the Lighthouse. The senior National Park pass admitted the four of us. The docents were informative, the book shop was lovely, and the restrooms were immaculate. A lovely way to spend a few hours! Mahalo to all who made our visit so special.
